I've got this little bad boy from a karui chest during Monolith encounter.

hint: and I don't wanna use it ;)

Not exactly a find, but crafted it with just 3 double resonators (life+cold). Still too lazy to divine it.

All 3 just dropped from a single Vaults of Atziri map. Nothing special but I've never had this happen before. They must have turned up the drop rate for 6L gear on this map...strange...but I'm not complaining! :)

It's the modifier "Found Items have a (20-40)% chance to drop Corrupted in Area" any corrupted body armor or two handed weapon (ie anything that can have 6 sockets) will have a 1 in 144 chance to drop as a six link. This is because corruption has a 1 in 4 chance to randomize sockets and links, those item types then have a 1 in 6 chance to drop as 6 sockets, and the ones with 6 sockets get a 1 in 6 (or is it 5?) chance to drop as a 6 link.

This means corruption has a non-trivial chance of generating six socket/six link items when it occurs.

Makes sense. That also explain why they aren't worth much.
