Animate Weapon

I am very disappointed to learn that the new transfigured "Animate weapon of Self Reflection" does not work with the reflected weapons on hit effects. It states "Animates a copy of your main hand weapon to fight by your side" this is not an accurate description as it does not use all of your weapons stats. I very much hope that this is a bug and will be fixed. or the gems description be updated to accurately portray what the skill does. I wasted my time leveling and spec'ing a minion tree just to find out that the gems description is not accurate.

Is it intended that the Animate Weapon of Self Reflection snaps shots your current weapon? So I can have two types of weapons if I weapon swap. I don't want to make a build around this just to have it be a bug.

My dude did you try use the skill on Marohi Erqi, to see if the weapons have highest dps damage or use trypanon to see if they have highest crit chance?
I am surprised no one has mentioned this yet... But I really do think the new Transfigured Gem Animate Weapon of Ranged Arms should have the Projectile Tag makes no sense that it doesn't have it
Big ongoing issue with Animate Weapons is that it's IMPOSSIBLE to sustain weapons until act 4, because there's no ability that grants lingering blades: Bladefall is level 34, Ethereal Knives doesn't leave blades anymore.

Despite of receiving AW on level 4, it's impossible to animate weapons consistently.

Pleease add Bladefall to early game gem rewards to enable AW
As of 2025,this skill is still not decently usable with identfied items of your choice.even with the jorrhast's blacksteel,you would still need to carry at least 5of the desired weapon if your build focused on animating a specific weapon kind,plus the fact the item is destroied at the end means you'd have to carry so much more unless you immensely invest in duration to cover a whole map,which by that means you can't properly invest into the proper minions stats to make the skill work.i was doing a build using claws and vaal double strike,and would have got great benefit from using animate weapons on claws to have a lot of claws punching ennemies altogether,which would be far from OP but just a decent fun build.the skill can still only use lingering blades effectively and going with animated guardian just means two weapon instead of many more.just a simple change to make the weapon drop on the duration's end would be enough to at least make the skill usable,and it's realist too: when you animate a weapon,you're using magic to make it move,like telekinesy or giving it a soul.just disappearing makes it just useless when the skill mechanic itself is just insanely more time consuming than any other skills in the game.please give this skill a serious chance to live without requiring lingering blade,at least for the drip of animating a lot of your favorite weapons.or at least make that skill for poe2 without outright killing it with another skill as forced requirement
