Trump is an A+ president so far, if he keeps it up he could rival Reagan

This is measurably untrue. There is no such thing as an A+ president. Who grades the papers?

Trump did not give you two judges. Mitch McConnell gave you one, and nature the other. And what do you know about them being good or bad? Never mind, I am being unfair. You probably know more about them then the president does, since he doesn't care and has got the attention span of a sixth-grader with too much candy within grasp.

Attributing things to Trump that he has done nothing for seems pretty strange to me. Basically his role is to twitter this, lie about that, waste a lot of perfectly decent air on what he calls rallies, basically, to attract attention. All the while his corrupt gang furthers their own interests and gives him papers to sign. Which he happily does, in all likelyhood neither caring about what he is signing nor understanding it.

Now, to an extent I do understand Scroties disappointment with President Obama; I still have to finish a posting to that. But naming that sad wreck Trump a good presodent is something I am completely unable to grasp.

I judge Trump's presidency based on what he has actually done.

Let's pretend you are right, and Trump's advisers make all the decisions. Ok, well what do I care, if the stuff he is doing is amazing? Trump still gets an A++, he chose the advisers and followed their advice, sounds good to me.

Bottom line: lowered taxes, no new major war, 2 amazing supreme court judges! A+++

From a foreigner's point of view, Trump dumped a bunch of recent major treaties, making the country's written word worthless.
He's also been damaging the world effort to protect the environment.
He's also been naming the worse possible choices for some of his staff (environment, education,...).
He is also a heavy liar, even compared to politician standards.
Etc...

That some people prefer him to Clinton, I can understand. That some people have any trust in him, I cannot.

Bank regulations have also been nixed. Let's talk again after he's triggered another recession.

Or rather let's not, I have the distinct feeling you're just trolling.
"Trump dumped a bunch of recent worthless treaties..."

FTFY.

Given that Obama was intent on selling out the US to anybody who wanted a piece of us, no matter the disadvantage at which it put us, President Trump's primary responsibility, protecting the US and US interests, required that he void those treaties. Just because some politically and economically tone-deaf community organizer thought it would make everyone like us better if we bent over and took the paddling didn't make those treaties good; it certainly didn't obligate us to honor them regardless of how stupid that would be.

President Trump isn't some evil dictator; he's the CEO of the USA. He's revisiting our relationships with the rest of the world, and taking steps to correct the abusive and exploitative ones. The results speak for themselves: It's the economy. Oh, and, before anyone says "Well, Obama made that happen," let's all remember that Obama said that those jobs weren't coming back, that the bad economy was the "new normal," and that he questioned with what "magic wand" Trump was gonna keep his promises. Obama didn't build this recovery; he didn't even believe it could be done. =9[.]9=

This is an aspect that's completely missing on the sad wreck's argumentation. It is not unimportant. Trust is influence, influence is power. Which ist now weakened.

How long has the Iran withstood international pressure before that, and how long do you think will it take until they renegotiate with the US again after being burned like this?

There's more that just two sides to that treaty. By stepping away from the treaty, said wreck pissed of the US' allies and put them in a difficult Position. One should not do that without compelling reason, because, well, the US might need allies one day.

So not only was trust lost but also real damage done to allies. You probably dont feel that right now, and quite possibly, you won't ever feel it fully. Hopefully. Because, you know, I am hopeful that the moron in chief will not make a second term. Your allies will not drop you, our friendship will weather this.

(It is probably too much to hope that those who claim to try and prevent the worst grow some balls. Either they think the president is fit for office. In that case, they should do their job and not his. Or they don't. In that case, there's provisions for that. Carrying the wreck through the term is deceit of his voter's at the very least)

But I digress: The Iran Deal worked. Before, the Iran was on its way to the bomb, after that, not. The world was a safer place. At basically no cost to the US: only sanctions were lifted.

Now, Iran might just decide to return to the bomb. The world is an unsafer place.

Trump weakened the US, hurt its allies, made the world an unsafer place, with no realistic expectation of a replacement. How was that good for the US?

Paris:
Climate change is happening. If you don't believe that, fine. Drive SUVs and Trucks to your heart's content, waste all the energy you can afford, throw away all the plastic you can find, do everything you are allowed to do, I don't mind. But a government needs to base their decisions on science and Facts and reason. It needs to set the boundaries within which their peoples can act. It needs to do so responsibly, so that the next generation can live good, too. There's ways to do that that use the markets, too. put a price tag on emissions, and if you set them right, the market will reign in some of the emissions for you. But whatever you do, it is a global problem. Local activities won't work. Only global solutions have a chance to.

For global solutions you need global treaties, and for those you need trust, which the sad wreck is doing his best to undermine. Also, the paris agreement had no punishment clauses that could have forced the US to pay or do something. Violating it would have caused loss of trust at worst. Which, by pulling out, the president chose to have the full load of, at once. How was that good for the US?

Hell, no. He is doing something, just to be able to be able to sit somewhere, grinning, with a pen in his hand, and have photos made. In order to give his voters the impression that he is doing something, maybe even is following a plan, a great scheme to make Amerika great again. He is not. He has no plan. He is simply doing stuff. And he is not doing it good.

Let's revisit that statement when you have realized that by throwing fuel into the fire said fire certainly will burn better for a while, but afterwards, the fuel will be gone. Also, America needs trade. It profits from it. The US citizens can buy all that stuff because of it. They will pay more, and more people will lose their jobs than Jobs have been gained.

This entire argument is based on the false premise that Trump put the United States in a "breach of contract" situation by reneging on the Iran deal. In fact, the Iran deal was set to expire per its own terms and, in refusing to renew it as the 12 May 2018 deadline loomed, Trump caused it to naturally expire. While there may have been an international expectation of a sort that the US would renew, this expectation was unrealistic: Trump was often publicly critical of the Iran Deal, calling it a mistake during the campaign trail.

Your claim that Trump violated international trust is like claiming a tenant who is often heard saying "I made a mistake moving here" is violating the trust of other tenants if he honors the lease he has already signed but declines to renew it when it expires. What you really mean is that you don't agree with his decision, because you like living there and you like him living there; you're implying that any person who disagrees with your preferences is inherently dishonorable.

The great misconception people have regarding climate change is that they are unaware of this truth: cataclysmic non-anthropogenic global warming is, assuming current levels of technological development, inevitable. Hundreds of millions of years ago, earth's atmospheric CO2 was five times current levels, average temperature 3°C higher, and sea levels 100m higher than present. Even with a lack of human intervention — or, more precisely, due to a lack of proper human intervention — this cyclical condition is projected to repeat. I am not claiming that anthropogenic carbon emissions are incapable of expediting this doom, but austerity measures designed to merely hide humanity's carbon footprint will emphatically not save us; at best, they will buy us some time. Humanity must generate a massively negative carbon footprint to prevent apocalypse. This would require the development of what is essentially terraforming technology, capable of scrubbing carbon emissions from our atmosphere. (From a paleoclimatological perspective, plants have been the primary feedback mechanism for restoring low a state of low atmospheric CO2 levels, low temperature, and low sea levels; therefore this tech would likely be plant-based.) If carbon-scrubbing tech exists — and it must, either to save humanity on this planet or immigrate to a new one — then the problem of carbon-emitting devices is solved not by abstinence but by budgeting the "carbon surplus" that such tech would afford us.

In short, the core beliefs behind neo-environmentalism (as opposed to older-school environmentalism where "green" referred to chlorophyll instead of energy) are fundamentally flawed, and pushed by Big Energy corporatist lobbying to both exploit subsidies and take public awareness off of the ball in terms of global devegetation. As a consequence of this, opposition to the Paris Accord was rightly deserved.

I have seen news articles wherein US farmers blame Trump for business losses due to tariffs recently imposed on US food exports. However, it is imperative to understand that these tariffs were recently increased by non-US governments in response to tariffs the US government levied against their exports to the US. As such, this argument assumes the moral legitimacy of responding to tariffs with retaliatory tariffs. If we assume the moral legitimacy of such behavior, then Trump's tariffs were, in many cases, also legitimate: many nations had previous tariffs against US goods or heavily subsidized domestic industry with taxpayer funds so as to grant them an unfair advantage in foreign markets.

To be clear, I'm against both tariffs and subsidies. I hope that the ultimate result of trade war is to bring nations to the negotiating table so that ultimately tariffs and anticompetitive subsidies can be eliminated or, more realistically, reduced to "pre-trade-war" levels, for all nations at the negotiations. As such, I will readily admit that I worry that Trump's actions might ultimately lead to nothing more than a worsening of the economic situation. However, at the same time I view the pre-Trump situation as economic injustice against the United States, and thus a situation that compels an attempt to rectify that injustice. Thus I view Trump's tariff policy as risky, possibly even disastrous, but not necessarily stupid.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
