Why does body armor come with a negative move speed modifier?

Petition to remove armour penalty, I would also petition to increase boots move speed up to 50npercent, make it an implicit instead of a prefix, and remove half of collisions on the maps. Running blooming field is literal nightmare as you hit every piece of a map with unmovable collision.

Its this way because it's based in reality, not just because other games do it.


lol. I bet you play ranger. Let's force rangers to craft arrows, once they run out, they cannot shoot. How about that "reality"?

It doesnt make sense in a game like PoE.

In D&D, light armor have lower armor rate and therefore are lighter. But in this game? Evasion, energy shield and armor are equally strong in their respective field. So why should energy shield or evasion armor get better movement speed, if the armor stat isn't even superior? Even worse, armor is still in a bad position compared to evasion and energy shield right now.

Why bother. Just a petition to have a gambling machine in a hideout. Just pull the lever and items drop right in your hideout. No need to run somehwere at all.

They are determined to make POE 2 painfully slow, while making maps 10x larger.

Whats funny is the movement speed of POE 1 suits POE 2 sized maps... And the slow painful painful SLOW movement speed of POE 2 suits... poe 1 sized maps.

The problem is us, the customers, do not care what GGG, the company wants. It's a one way street, we are the customers, they are to care what WE think -- NOT the other way around.

POE 2 is antithetical to what modern ARPG's are.

We don't want to move slow -- and we don't care what GGG wants. They need to care what WE want.
It makes sense that heavy Iron Armor slows down
but not in a fast paced computer game.

I also wear an 700Armor, 300 ES Armor, it takes 6% off my speed.

35% Speed Boots are a must.
