Waystone Sustain

Having same issues with waystones but I want to bring up another issue as well.

Been playing with my guild members and only the person creating the map gets any waystone's (done over 30 maps and found this to be true)

We have the default allocations for drop set to permanent, so we cant mistakenly pickup other guild members gear.

And yes they can drop in the Guild stash, but we don't even get enough to sustain one of us.

Really hope they address the drop rates of low tier waystones and allow every team member to have that drop chance not just the person starting the map.

Rush towers. Do boss nodes.
4-5 t15 from a boss ain't unusual

More or less this.

Not sustaining maps means players aren't utilizing all the tools at their disposal.

* Grab Atlas tree bonuses for % quantity & % chance of tier up
* Populate your towers with waystone % chance drop bonuses, before you do boss nodes
* Always use your best maps (at least 200% chance for waystone drop) on bosses
* Grab the boss atlas bonuses for increased quantity from boss & 25% chance to drop a waystone

Every boss becomes a guaranteed T15 pinata

why should players be forced into doing boss nodes? shouldn't that become a quest then?

I do primarily T14-T16 and have specced all the nodes for higher tier waystones to drop. I don't now how this is calculated but from the nodes it should be 70%. I do transmute - augment - regal or alch every waystone and if they have bad waystone % i vaal them. However the waystones that drop are almost always T2-T9 especially after the latest patch. Feels more like 5% higher tier drops than 70%. Having to grind lower tiers or buying waystones from other players sucks.

At tier 14-16 you should really exalt them 3 times as well on top of regal...

Ive had the complete opposite experience.

I also have waypoints specced on my atlas and I loot tier 10+ waystones and reforge them to increase the tier.

I then roll/vaal my T14-15 waystones and run them, I litterally have so many waystones that I end up vendoring the ones I dont have space for.

Why wouldn't players want to do bosses? There's not much else to do on the Atlas right now.

Doing bosses is the easiest way, but I'm sure there are other ways to sustain maps, eg. Breach, or just simply playing whatever - BUT - then you'd have to roll your maps above 300% quant, which will make them a lot more deadly.

i have too many waystones . My T 15s is filling up my entire stash.
But it's weird though. I find a lot of T 13 and 15 but less OF 14S

Im 14+ in the general quest took all the waystone drop bonuses and only use 6 effect map still run out of T15 most of the time and thus only use them on boss maps...

which mean 1 ou of 4 map i do is in fact a T15

so by people standard im wasting 3/4 of my time in useless maps that will give no exp and drop nothing of value

also cost me most of my orb currency to make those maps

My last 6 (all I had) T15 maps, half yellow and full -- I tried 3 of them with no rarity, and 3 of them with 100 rarity. Zero of them dropped a T15 waystone. Seems broken to me.

One T14, One T13, the rest way lower.

Mark Roberts was on some hopium in that interview for sure. Or it's completely random / bugged for some people and he is cruising.

I have gone through periods where a ton will drop, but that isn't now. Interested to see the changes.

If 300% is the norm they might as well remove blue maps and below, basically this is resulting in net loss of maps even if you clear them. I have used exalt that gives me less than 200% sometimes, something is clearly broken when you need to stack big numbers to justify the mechanic.

Right now I (and many others) are still stuck at the quest line due to this issue, it is okay if people have reached T15+ maps and never encountered this situation, but it is definitely blocking progress for others.
