Trading is broken in multiple ways that could easily be fixed by an auction house.
I go to the trade site, find items that match. Guess what... I message person after person after person trying to get a okay item for a handful of exalted, but nobody is replying. No one cares to take the time to sell an item for a few exalted anymore. Its insanely frustrating, and makes me want to abandon the game. There isnt a viable way to progress without being able to trade. I'm not going to spend hours and hours and hours hoping for a miraculous trade reply. " This is a multi-faceted issue. There are people that just don’t get the whisper system, both ways in that someone in the middle of a pinnacle fight isn’t going to reply for a while whilst you are eager to get your trade done. There is also ‘hideout warriors’ (I believe that was the coined term) that just sit in hideout manipulating trades to make profit (dump a load of cheaper than market items on trade then trying to buy said items cheap). Then there are console players that never used the website when it was added and still don’t ’get it. There are people that just don’t feel like stopping their fun for 2ex when they’re sitting on 300+. And finally there is the divine problem that due to its drop rate being disproportionate to its utility it has become the trade ‘mega coin’ which is causing unnatural inflation. Most of these issues existing in the same or similar form (except the divine issue) on XBox back in August 2017 when we had ONLY a trade board. Since they added website and TB to console it has been much much better for those that learned the website. +1 on the AH.
I would just add a simple fix to AH and current trade: Any item can only be sold once after it was either dropped or enhanced by craft. This will kill any botting or speculation and require basically no special computation, programation or complexe procedure. You loot a white you can sell it, the buyer can enhanced it and resell it and that's it. No more speculation. You buy a leveling item, you can use it but you can't put it back into the market unless you risk altering its value by orbing it. |

But, on the other hand... regarding this specific topic: There are actually valid arguments for an AH. Most importantly - for ME at least ;) - is the fact that people would actually have to list stuff for a price they are actually willing to sell Nor more skipping through the first 3 pages on the trade site. Oh.. and scamming would be a thing of the past. (At least swap-scams etc.) On the other hand I can see he forum filles up with threads abolut how people actually set the wrong price, put things in th wrong tab, whatever. But doing things with open eyes then would be our respeonsibility as players. So yeah, for this time, include me in hs "we" :-D edit: Oh, I actually forgot. As long as the new whisper notification can only ne heard when you crank it up all the way and mute all other sound,, I am all for an AH anyway.. GGG will never change this shit market. These 80k logged into the game are mostly bots, players with multiple accounts, all to be able to farm using a broken system and do RMT. GGG created this market to work in this dirty way. They make money from it, that's for sure.

auction house with auction bit system and also instant buyout function .so you get all the money out of items . not get scammed ,death to al those retail merchants scamers. We do live in 2025 .waiting those afk players to come online or either players who downgrade economy just buy fooling everyone, that they sell the item when actually not. We want play the game, not sit in Trades 24/7 . not going to be racist but you all know whom im speaking, whos making real money of from selling their currency and earning real money fom freaking videogame, total economy busters. trades are really important part of not SSF playstyle that's why we need it to be less broken and updated to modern day. not 2000s. |

Not sure what to say really. I'm a new player, currently level 90. Have absolutely zero issues with trading. I've never needed to get an item and not been able to get the one i want or a close equivelant.
I think an AH would be a terrible idea. I think the market will be massively manipulated by bots. As a new player i often dont know the real value of things. For example i put a +7 grey stellar amulute for 5ex. Instantly getting bombarded by 40 people made me realise. Ok this is actually worth a lot more. Someone offered me 140ex which i still dont know if its good or not but seemed a lot better than 5ex. If it wasnt for this system i would have ripped myself off. If the AH was in effect all items that are posted below market price will be snapped up instantly, noobs like myself will never even know they had anything of worth, there items will just be gone and reposted at a high price. It also means that i dont have to research and check literally every item i have. I can just stick it all in a quad tab, stick a value on it and be done with it. In an AH you have actual market price and number of equivalent item sold, AH can even suggest correct pricing for new players. You select the item, the AH put a valid price depending on the market and you can adjust it downward or upward. I fear you have no idea what and how a AH work, especially for beginner. " That's simple sample just how peoples don't know what they are talking about or just the hater ,current economy abuser hemself or even bot user, who knows. don't want things get better. in AH you don't get underprice if its in auction. you could still sell all ur garbage even whit out pricing it . unless you set specific price.furter more if ur newplayer you wouldn't get to buy overpriced item if there was an AH.
