🏚️ 💰 WE NEED AUCTION HOUSE NOT TRADES!!!

"
I hate it, when people tell me what I need... ^^

Then obviously this thread is not for you. As long as you advocate for this broken trading system that benefits no one except scammers, spammers, bots, price fixers, then you are the problem.

Either you are making profit of it as well or you are just fine that this trade system is being destroyed by these mentioned clowns.

That being said no one is forcing you to read or engage in this thread. We need an AH and I do not care if you as a single individual you are against it. The majority speak for themselves.

WE DO NOT NEED YOUR PERMISSION to express what is needed in this community to fix this garbage trading system.

That's already the case and AH is actually much more better protected against bots.

Just curious, how is an auction house more protected against bots?
METOO
Why do I feel like this is all to cater to botter and RMT.

- Make a instant currency exchange because that's what bots and RMT sellers need.

- Don't make instant item buyout because otherwise they wouldn't be able to fix prices.

For instance they could add in tax free by gold, like currency AH we have for currency = death to almost 99 % trade bots. also items that are on Auction bots don't control the prices what makes them really hard to gain any profit. also leaves traces to traidings so GGG could ban all bot users.
AH simply is for good of mankind.
also this could prevent RMT as almost every trade going thro AH. GGG could monitor non auction house trade. and ban all those trades and accounts. no one is going to make high level accounts just for simple few RMT trades and get banned for it. resulting fast bans for all the low level chars for 100s divine trades example.
that's how we save our economy in long term if GGG would but some effort into it.

+1 for a decent in-game market/auction house.

I read the manifesto a while back and none of it rang true to me. It's one person's desire to make an even greater divide between the hardcore and casual player with rationalisations that do not hold up to the slightest critical consideration.

Fundamentally it's a decision that will cost revenue. Fewer people will play when engaging with the necessity to trade to play into the harder parts of the end-game is so obfuscated, awkward and antiquated. Fewer players = fewer people who might spend a few bucks.

One rationalisation is that the current system is less prone to encouraging or facilitating RMT. It does nothing to reduce RMT. It costs peanuts to have a person in some country with a favourable exchange rate and minimal standards of life to sit with a couple dozen characters logged in selling items manually. RMT sites are selling insane amounts of currency and this is still the 'pre-release' (read 'Beta')!

I'd be all for items getting sent directly to a stash from the website.

And add browser compatibility to the client, or adapt to be similar to the microtransaction shop but at least maintain the existing search capabilities of the website.

I feel like it is desirable to no longer leave the client for trading and eliminate disrupting people that just want to keep playing after putting items up for sale.

Edit: I have friends that play that don't even know about trading on the website. Moving it into the client will help folks find and use the trade website that don't even know it exists.

Diablo 3 has AUCTION HOUSE system in both game's currency and real money currency and they shut it down in a year and wishes it never happened.
FYI.
