Player based will leave and this game will die out if they don't remove the XP Penalty

be better
I will not quit, PoE2 is the best ARPG

The 92 is me not playing a meta
I think that was trying a trickster with exsanguinate and cyclone physical, bleed contaminated blood to see if it could be viable.

Like i said, i make it up, i don't read guides.
i dont use the store.

I still don't have caped resists ... do i look like im meta?

Im SSF i wear what i craft or find, i don't sell or buy.
I have no idea if what im making is common or OP or lame.

But what keeps me playing is .... I have a vision of a finished character
if the friggin game would get out of my way and let me see it ... that would be great

Stop it.

I don't follow guides or the meta either, but YOU having 5k hours in PoE1 has to be a joke.

SSF does not mean "I throw some items on my character and go". It only excludes you from trading, and you should be able to craft the items you need.
Furthermore, your Trickster is not SSF so that character being horrible is not really an excuse.

I try not to be harsh, but claiming you are well-informed yadda yadda with so many flaws in your character and items even ppl with less play time wouldn't craft...

So, you can follow your "vision" of a build and try to make it viable, BUT...
if it's not good it's probably not the game's fault.
The "game" has basically no reason to let you clear the game on a bad build; that's literally the opposite of how the game plays.

It is increasingly clear that this game is for people who can devote 6 to 12 hours a day playing. These people are devoting their lives to a video game and the real hardcore folks spend another 2 to 3 hours a day posting in the forums.

Anyone who devotes their so much of their life is going to get super emotional about some trivial issue as whether or not the game has a death penalty or not.

Most of us have real lives. Job, spouse, children, friends and family. Most of us will stop playing a game that we don't enjoy.

Those of you who throw around "entitled", are living on Mars as far as I can tell. What is more "entitled" than playing a video game 8 hours a day and arguing on the forums another 2? You obviously don't have any real responsibilities. Living online is not real life.

As for the experience penalty, think about it from GGG's point of view. It's a time sink. They want players to stay playing as long as possible in order to sell MTX. If GGG determines that the experience penalty is hurting business, then they will end it, no matter what "snowflakes" or "no-lifers" say.

Ehm, i'm a freelancer and between work and getting certifications i can spend 4, sometimes 6, maybe 12 hours on weekends playing a game i like. There was a time when i could spend more, and there are games i cannot play anymore which is ok. There will also be a time when i'll be too busy to play poe2 as well, which is also ok. Not every game has to cater to people with 9/5 jobs not including commute, 3 kids, a dog, and a lot of friends. Yet they come to every game that doesn't and try to change it, thinking they're somehow superior and that without them, the game in question will die in 3 months.

The game won't die but they will lose a lot of players who have money like myself.

Look, I grew up on Lineage 2 and other "hardcore" shit when I had no life and derived my self worth and esteem off that. So I get it.

But that was 20 years ago. I have a family, a job, and other hobbies now.

Like this guy. He used to enjoy hardcore games but now that he can't play those they should suddenly change to fit into his new lifestyle.

PoE has always been a game you're supposed to nolife the hell out of, and well even level 90 is something actually casual players rarely reach so you won't see them in these threads. It survived for over a decade as one of the most successful games in the genre, rivaling and oftentimes beating diablo 3.
