Death Penalty (I am done)

It is normal and acceptable for players to be killed.
But the question now is:
1. Players are often killed for no reason, no matter how many lives and shields you have.
2. When these are killed, players can't know what they were killed by. )
3. The above-mentioned being killed is often caused by some bugs in the game program (just like a purple ball injury anomaly will take several months to be discovered by GGG. )
I get killed for no reason from time to time and it wipes out 2 hours of work
If the devs don't give a shit about the players and their time, they'll move on as I and many others have
I don't care what the die-hards say "oh just don't die" no shit. I don't have unlimited time in a week to play
Yep, this is one more stupid outdated mechanic directly from Diablo 2. There it was made because the major thing in the game was the ladder and people had to compete for it. In POE 1/2 no one cares about ladders (at least vast majority) so keeping this mechanics = losing players without a reason.

No. EXP loss is good and necessary. Lvls 90-100 are optional and provide almost no benefit. They are meant to be tedious and hard. If you can't stomach this, just stay where you are. You lose out on almost nothing.

Your defences are lacking, you run maps with too many damage mods, you need to improve your skill and/or you rush through maps too fast.
Death penalty is good if there was no balance issues among classes, weapon, etc.

If a player kills a boss in 10sec while others do 10x time, then xp penalty in death is unfair.

So first need Devs to fix balance of everything in game. Then its time to enable xp death penalty for all players.

I 100% agree with the OP.

I keep thinking about playing POE2 again but the death penalty (and lack of an auction house and terrible crafting) just puts me off.
^ Better make plans right now because there won't be an AH ever, they said many times the AH accelerate the game/powercreep way too much with way too much ease and goes against the spirit of playing loot-based games, be happy you can trade with others but there's frictions so it's not handholded to you.

As for the penalty and reaching level 100, this is only a problem since Diablo 4...crazy how that game spoiled your average casual gamers, before that game it was not a problem AT ALL.

This is the attitude by the devs that chase people away. Those 10 skill points matter to a lot of people and they do provide a good boost to some builds and classes, no matter how much you try and claim otherwise. A lot of people don't simply stay where they are, they quit playing
