GGG arrogance is killing both games

Engaging action combat is what makes an action rpg an action rpg.
I dont get how achieving a state of gameplay were holding 1 button is a viable way of playing (or killing a boss in <15s, etc.) is a meaningful goal? I would like my character to be executed the moment that happens, because the action combat will be gone. There is no point in striving for something that when achieved brings negative satisfaction.

if you made it to endgame and farmed you would understand

I made it to endgame 5 times and always quit out of boredom: lack of endgame content and lack of engaging gameplay once my character becomes too strong.
No one needs 15min boss fights or 2miles per hour movement speed

ignore all these ppl.

no one wants to press 8 diff buttons (combat style) for killing a boss in 15min.

you start like a crap character and evolve into a good and clear the screen.

which is one of the point i said and then you're admitting that you don't know what you're talking about

Im fine with slowed down combat, requiring more skillful timing and dodging rather then just face tanking, but fuck, this isnt it

Like using any more then 4-5 skills just isnt optimal, Im merc have it a little easier I just load ammo and shoot, 1 grenade, have a mark and 2 banners aswell, to keep track of everything, timing my combos and shots right, mark first, electric grenade 2nd to build up electrocute, armour piercing rounds to build glory and break armour, spam high velocity + grenades untill boss is electrocuted, while their immobolized I place banners, electrocute runs out by the time ive placed both banners, respam the nades and mark, rearmour break, oh now the banners ran out, oh but now the boss is electrocuted so do I shoot them or place my banners xD

While also having to worry about the boss, the one hits, and dodging, doesn't help the bosses suffer from visual clarity and lack of any indication of where there going to attack, like no areas lighting up on ground to indicate hey dodge out of the way....

It takes alot of thinking, good timing, and skill, this is also my SSF experience, trade league is a complete different story

Just swapping between ammo, not being able to mark while shooting, or place banners while shooting, its not fun, and boss fights really aint enjoyable :/

The problem with long complex boss fights conceptually that take many minutes to beat, is that this is a game where you are expected to repeat them over and over for a small chance at getting something good.

A long, tough fight is fine the first time, but it gets annoying/tiring on repeat.

Rewards need to be adjusted for longer fights ofc. T3 could always grant two random chase uniques or something like that I dunno.

They act as if they were confused on this matter.

The extremely overwhelming majority wants a faster pace.

Don't believe me? Think this is deluded? Do an in-game poll early in 0.5 and see what happens.

They're still confused because somehow some people in here thinks the game is too fast because of a video show cased 5 years ago and they strongly believe that video is the constitution and the final blueprints.

Unless they bring the speed back, this game is dead to me.

Well bye then. Hope you won't be one of those players that just lingers on the forum for weeks or months talking about how dead the game is to you and somehow you find yourself playing it again.

GGG has the full data set. So perhaps reading reddit/this forum is not the overwhelming position of the community. Right now there is over 100k people playing and that is a lot of people. It shows the community at large enjoys the game. The minority of players come in here and complain and pretend they are the majority due to negative user bias.
I agree with OP's main points. The maps are a problem. Fixing these alone will address some or all of the movespeed complaints. They might even be able to remove the bulk of checkpoints as well as sprint. Both of which were added as bandaid fixes to the map/movespeed problem. And with that they can remove the junk added to the passive tree that affects sprint.

They had the full "data set" in 1 as well and still beelined back on track when they realized their "make game hard philosophy" cost them money.

It's gonna happen again because GGG can't learn a lesson.
Fun fact i tried to post this on reddit and this did not pass the moderation team of that sub reddit for some reason
