Need ideas for a Unique Flask!

-reduced damage taken from ranged attacks
-cant use other flasks during effect
-reduced life
Flask of Darkness.

Only get charges on Champion, rares and boss kills.

uses 30 charges out of 50
duration 4 seconds.

Players vision is reduced to a minimal(light radius bonuses is disabled for duration)
Armor, resist, evasion, and energy shield is multiplied by 5.

Cannot target units, as in you cannot lock on targets, you are basicly "blind firing".

when the duration expires, your light vision is slowly returning to the normal state over x amount of seconds.

A great flask for melee characters, while ranged caracters is getting screwed, by the fact that they cannot see the enemies they are fighting.
Petrification potion - unique Granite Flask

-Turns you into stone for 1.5-3 seconds, removing all buffs and debuffs (not auras). During that time, you cannot move or use skills/items, and regeneration/restoration has no effect. Stone has a certain amount of hitpoints/armor/resists (maybe relative to the player stats) and can be broken.


Catalyzer - unique Quicksilver Flask

-Gives you a "Catalyzation" buff for 30 seconds. During that time, any other used flask will have a 100% increased or 50% reduced effect.
-Charged by flask usage.


Blood Vial - unique Life Flask

1000 health capacity

Drains your life energy when you are above 50% health, and restores it when you are below.

-100 chaos damage per second when above 50% health (until filled)
-100 health per second when below 50% health. (until emptied)
-not charged by monster kills
What do you guys think about:

AURA/SUPPORT FLASK (this is not the name)
Quicksilver Flask
THE REQUIRED LEVEL OF THIS FLASK IS DETERMINED BY THE REQUIRED LEVEL OF THE IMPRINTED GEM
Lasts 4-6 seconds (depending on quality)
Uses 30 of 60 charges
Imprint an Aura or Support Gem on this flask (The gem is destroyed upon imprint)
You get Imprinted Gem effect during flask effect

*You can re-imprint at anytime.

Frail flask of immortality, unique Granite Flask

Grants 1-2 sec of complete immunity to damage, elemental status effect and stun on use.
Flask breaks and loses 5% of quality if used two times in under 15 seconds.
Flask breaks after being used 10 times.
When broken, flask loses all charges and can't be refilled.
Flask can be repaired by using a Glassblower's Bauble.

About the "MUST HAVE" stats... It really depends on builds.
From your 3 flask examples flask 1 seems the most interesting for me.
From my cyclone mapper's perspective I'd love to see a flask that would allow you to control your cyclone more.
Something that would drastically reduce move speed on use and would give bonus to attacking but would turn into a supercharged Quicksilver when on low life would be handy :D

Also you could make a flask that makes everything crit during it duration (monsters and you at teh same time :D)

It's only real downside is that the gem is destroyed.

Hm it's an interesting idea sure but how useful would it be? It's not that hard to stack up auras late game. Auras people often use are Clarity, Determination, Haste, Hatred, Discipline and Purity. If the unique flask will keep the auras as they are then Haste and Clarity are clearly out as poor man's Quicksilver and Mana pots. Actually stacking auras up is fairly easy in the game so noone would use the pot slot to just free up mana space.

What if the pot added an interesting twist to the aura? Like it's effects would be reversed and it would affect enemies? Problem I see with this is that how would Hatred/Anger/Wrath work with this and the usefulness of Discipline depends how monster's ES is calculated (players get 1k or more from it because of passives, monsters probably get a big flat number)

Other solution could be allowing the pot aura to stack with it's normal counterpart. Problem is this could be potentially too imbalanced.

About invisibily.. I don't think it's a great status, what happens when you have already been targeted and fired on ? Will you just dissapear and don't take damage or will you just be invisible for monsters that did not saw you already ?


My new suggestion :

Insert name [ DAMNED ] insert word Flask :
No charges. Every use consume 10% of you MAX life/ES.

Bonus :

--Insert bonus
--Insert crazy bonus ( stacking bonus )

Drawbacks :

-- Lose 10% of you life/es for each use.
-- Could kill youreself, if you are not already killed by monsters ?

And About invisibily again, Something better would be : detonate a wave that would have 100% chance of blinding monsters. But that's not what your flask should do, is it ?


edit : You gain back you max life/es moving between instances.. (i forgot ^^ )
