[3.10] Sovyn's Lazy Pally - Tanky Templar with Max Block

It's been surprisingly difficult to find an upgrade to the shield I've been using for 14+ levels:

but...I found this little beauty on drop tonight...saved me a couple chaos and those rolls are nice:

Yes, self-found it's hard to find anything good. I did that for a long time, it's very hard core. The Lioneye's is a very common item and cheap if you are willing to trade.
I'm having a good time using this build. Would you or anyone have suggestions as to which masters I should be using for my hideout with this build?

It didn't take me more than a couple months casual play with a few friends to get them all to level 8 with the daily missions, but I would venture to say that I used Haku, Elreon and Zana more than the others.

Great! Thank you for the quick response! I'll give those guys a try :)
Hello there,

In Act 2 Bandits quest, I chose the 10% reduct elem, instead of 40 points life or 1 skill point :X

Am I stuck for later ? Should I be ok with that ?

Not a big deal. You can always respec it later for 20 regrets if you want. Hard core min-maxers would overreact here and tell you to start over but I wouldn't.

Thanks a lot :) :)
Hello Sovyn! I have been using this build since I started playing POE a few years ago and I took a break for about a year and I resumed my character and I feel this build is much better (it was already awesome) than it was when I used it. The creation and use of Static Strike (instead of Cleave or Reave) really upped my DPS. I'm around 25-26k DPS with all my charges going, but I still am wondering if you can point in me the right direction on what gear to get next.

Spoiler

I have a bit of currency (1 exalt, bunch of chaos, fusings, etc) and I'm willing to upgrade since finding one's own gear is very hard. My goal is to be able to do a lot of the endgames things like Atziri and I don't die very often, but I notice my res can be a little low, esp for chaos.

Thank you as always, love this build!

Glad you are still enjoying the build.

As to your gear, the helmet, bramble coil ring and the chest all need good life rolls on them. Depending on the ilevel of that chest you can just chaos it a few times until you get 90+ life, then pick up a rare ring (60+ life and needed res) and helmet (80+ life and needed res) for approximately 2-5 chaos each to fill in the resists. If the ring has physical damage on it too so much the better but harder to find at low cost. As to chaos resists, use an atziri's promise flask (no more than 1 chaos) as you are killing the offender.

More advanced than that, if you want to save up a little, you can go for crit version of my build to raise DPS more. Generally a 5-link lightning coil chest and abyssus is cheaper than a 6-link chest and more DPS. A good deal on a 5-link lightning coil is 1 ex. The main potential cost are the right skill tree jewels to max out block, resists and intelligence but not too bad if you shop carefully as there are good deals to be had occasionally. It's not a 'gimme' setup though, takes a little trading savvy. Helps to have leveled a purity of lightning gem to 20 already as mentioned in the guide. Then at least that part is free.

If you don't want to bother with that then save up for a 6-link corrupted armour type chest (2-3ex with good life roll on it) and get your vorici to level 8 to re-roll the sockets if they are not all red already (a reputable master crafter is an option if you don't want to bother, there are lots of vouch threads here on the forums).
