We get 20 on the tree, that's more than most builds can say. You can mash Atziri's Promise and power through anything that's hurting you with chaos damage.

Heh, lvl 20, got counter-attack gems and the build is starting to feel familiar :)

Reading the guide noticed that Static Strike changes to Icecrash for a bit, is Icecrash a major upgrade until you can get multistrike+static?

Minor, because it's nice not to have to hover your mouse over a specific monster to attack. More of a mechanical upgrade. Ice Crash seems to fall behind after you get multi on the other skills. Testing is ongoing with various support combinations for ice crash.
Today's Update:

Ice Crash(13) - Concentrated Effect - Weapon Elemental Damage - Added Fire Damage
Time for all three harvest bosses: 19.5 seconds average

Earthquake(13) - Weapon Elemental Damage - Added Fire Damage - Multistrike
Time for all three harvest bosses: 32 seconds average

Comments: As reported a few pages ago, Earthquake is still terrible compared to the elemental skills. I think that despite the hype it is simply another lackluster "balanced" skill. I'll test it one more time with reduced duration instead of multistrike but wouldn't expect anything. It's possible that my view will change during the upcoming map clear speed testing but who knows. In other news in seems I've found the best support combination there for Ice Crash in a Bringer of Rain. Concentrated could be manually switched with Increased AOE for clearing if desired. Ice Crash does feel very sluggish when compared with the lightning skills but you can't argue with that time.
Sorry if you already answered this at some point in the other 500 pages but if you were to do this build as Scion which 2 baby ascendancies would you choose? I assume inquisitor as one of the choices but I am kind of unsure between gladiator and berserker.

I'll repeat what I said on page 517 I think it was. Probably Gladiator and Guardian then forget getting the jewel sockets on my tree, will save you 4 skill points to make up for the so-so starting nodes at Scion. Won't be quite as good at clearing monsters as my build but it will work OK. Grab some of the damage nodes off my final tree if you have some spare points somehow.
I feel dumb now, I went back like 4 pages and decided to just ask. Thanks for the response.
Today's Update:

More boss kill speed tests.

Sunder(13) - Weapon Elemental Damage - Added Fire Damage - Multistrike
Time for all three harvest bosses: 41 seconds average

Static Strike(13) - Weapon Elemental Damage - Added Fire Damage - Multistrike
Time for all three harvest bosses: 16.4 seconds average

Comments: No surprises here, another terrible showing from a new melee skill, and typical amazing performance from the usual gem combo I've been using for a year or more.
Hi Sovyn, you do you have already tried Less Duration gem with static strike?

No, I doubt it would be better but I'll have to try it.
I'm a total noob and I'm very bad with melee chars but I'm enjoying your build so far. Being a noob, as I said, I'm not the best to evaluate weapons. What do you think about the one I'm using now? (self found, so far).
