No I haven't, not to end game at least. Elementalist is supposedly the best for that, in softcore, and a lot of praise for it on reddit and stuff. The only thing I'm afraid of is it's going to be popular, so not sure how the gear prices will be. It's also not that tanky, although I found this one on ninja that looks pretty tanky and great damage: https://pastebin.com/BeLRtiUt

The bad thing about not using hierophant is mana, but going hierophant you will have trouble capping ignite until later, elementalist gets 100% ignite on their first ascendency.

yup elementalist is superior for this build, you can just use lifetap to solve mana issue and the dmg is still pretty good. It can be pretty tanky just not "face roll everything" kind of tanky.
Updated for 3.18!

Well, since no changes are needed, I only had to change the version number... xD
I am leaning towards Lighting Strike Raider for the first week or so and then switch into Incin, using the Leadership Price version with my slight tweak of adding Temporal Rift to the build in place of Defiance Banner.
Nice build i used to love incinerate looking forward to try it out next league! (mostly interested in inquisitor/elementalist)
would it be possible to make a pob link with leveling trees like in the screenshots? aka the 30 60 80 trees and the final one?
also the ascendancy in both the pob and the screenshot in the build seems to differ which one should we follow?

The screen shots are all very old now. You can use them for general reference but the POB's at the top will be the most up to date info and you should follow them.

To be honest, there is really no wrong way to path as you level. Your direction will depend on how soon you intend to go for Pain Attunement which can not be predicted, especially early in league since it is gear dependent.

The Inquisitor and Guardian POB's both have a lot of extra info in the Notes section to help players new to the build.

I will be updating the Inquisitor POB for 3.18 next week once the 3.18 POB is released so keep your eye on the first post for an update.

And this thread tends to be pretty active so ask any questions you might have and you almost always get a fairly quick answer.

Good luck with the build in 3.18. GGG promised many game balance changes in 3.19 so we have no idea if the build will survive in that league but it still looks strong for 3.18.
awesome thank you for the quick reply :) haha hope it survives the last one I ran was with cybil paws years ago then it got nerfed and didn't touch it but always liked it so I'm excited to come back to poe and incinerate soon!
With this maybe we can ditch coward's legacy and go actual low life?

Hi there and thx for the build.
Only played about 6 weeks and will do a very budget build here.
I managed to get a perfect sockted Skin of the Lords but with Vaal Pact on (for 25 chaos), would that matter much?, at least the weapon got leech on it I see.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this, but people online seem to think this item could be extremely expensive, given that it only drops from the new Uber bosses (I think) and the drop rate is expected to be rare. I saw people guessing at a 100ex or more for the pair.

I am going to keep my eye open though in case it is more affordable.

If we can ditch the unique belt for a stygian and not require any where near as much chaos res as normal, we can free up lots of affixes to improve the build.

I would not use the Inquisitor version if you want to use Vaal Pact on the Skin of the Lords.

Note that even with the elementalist version, Vaal Pact is going to leave you VERY vulnerable to DOT. There are many times in the game you have killed everything on the screen but then you have some form of DOT. With out regen, that extra life leech is meaningless.
