If you were using Safari 14.0 for Catalina it would prompt you to accept downloads from the site otherwise it won't work.

Users can download and install Safari 14 for Catalina on macOS through the Software Update menu in the System Preferences app.

Alternatively FireFox 81.0 for MacOS X if you paste
http://webcdn.pathofexile.com/public/tmp/PathOfExile-Installer.dmg
in the URL field and hit return will ask you to save it.

The game freezes in Solaris Temple, but otherwise it's been running perfectly. MacMini 2020 and Radeon 5700 xt eGPU.

Well, the client is built with minimum 10.15 OSX version required. This kinda sucks, since a lot of nvidia-based hackintoshes are still on 10.13. Is it possible to lower the system requirement?

It's just the launcher that is built with 10.15 minimum. If you look inside, the actual game client is set at 10.13 minimum (alas, you need the launcher to download the rest of the game data needed by the client)

Thank you found it and downloaded it.
I have this message at the start of the installation :

General failure, error code = 267
For the guys who want to be able to change the resolution, there is one workaround I am currently using:

1. Get the EasyRes app (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/easyres/id688211836?mt=12) or an app with similar functionality like SwitchResX (paid, you can get it from https://www.madrau.com/).

2. Lower the resolution of your Mac to something like 1280x800

3. Right Click the Path of Exile.app file > Get Info > Check "Open in Low Resolution"

This improved my fps tremendously. Running stable 60 fps, CPU proximity temperature 60°C with MacsFanControl's "Full blast" preset and lowest settings in-game on my MacBook Pro 2018 (2,6 GHz i7 and Radeon Pro 560X).

Hey, guys! Did anyone manage to use filters in Mac client? I can't find where to put the text file ;(

Just drop the filter files into the main application folder: /Applications/Path of Exile
For an experimental client the game is running somehow good.

I am running it on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 | MacBook Pro 16 base model with AMD Radeon Pro 5300M

Couple of bugs from my experience:

- The game crashes every time in the Solaris Temple instance I had to run through it like 80 times because you cannot progress the game otherwise. Once you enter level 1 the game just freezes if you are lucky it unfreezes after a run of hope to get to level 2 the game freezes again and drops you to the login screen, so you need to keep running through the map as many times as you need to get to level 2 where the same thing happens. This is BEYOND FRUSTRATING.

- I am not sure if it is from the client itself but there are no option to choose GPU, so I do not know on what the game is running I assume it uses the external GPU.

- When you press the TAB key it always register the system sound from Mac it is super annoying.

- Sometimes when you start the client it won't register keypresses from the keyboard, and you need to restart the client.

- I am not sure what caused that but once the game completely destroyed my screen, everything turned into green cubes and some other colours which were all pixelated I thought my laptop would explode, for real.

- The fans are running probably on their maximum capacity even if all my settings are on low, they are super loud and the whole laptop gets super hot.

For me the most frustrating part is that it was announced weeks before the Heist league that a Mac client is coming up with the new league. On the day GGG announced that it was delayed for the upcoming week. They gave us this experimental client which is working, frustrating but it is working and then a BIG silence.

That is not how you threat your community or users. Even if you have just 1 user using macOS I think you are obligated to keep him informed what is happening with the official client. That is not how you threat your user base, and there are a lot of people that actually want to install and play POE on their macOS devices, not to mention if you put it on the Apple Store perhaps a lot more people will try it, which means more money for you from your MTX's and gambling boxes.

All of the latest news are about micro transactions and skill MTX's but nothing for the macOS users, I mean really? People are actually asking for this client for years.

GGG post in the What We're Working On: Heist Week 2 thread date Sept 28 the following

"
Official macOS release
Since our unofficial release of an experimental macOS client immediately before the Heist release, we have been working on fixing commonly-reported issues. There are still a few important issues remaining, so we don't have a release date locked down yet. We'd like it to ideally be next week though.

But unless you went hunting for this you would miss it. The assumption here is that one of the staff would amend this thread with a update. So how about your web programmers make a Mac box upper right and provide at least links to current status as changes become available?

That or make it the main news topic occasionally so it is easier to find and feedback is more accurately placed.

Thanks
