Upcoming Video Memory Utilisation Improvements

Praise Chris Wilson, I bought a GTX 1660 ti with 6gb of GDDR6 and the game using it like it's a 2gb card. I am excite for this change.
Finally this texture streaming kinda killed the game for me and i have high end ram and only suffered a short stutter when entering maps before.
Now its been like Path of 8-Bit and iwe died from so many Baran mobs mines and similarly deadly ground oneshot stuff that just wasnt rendered.
Really hope it works this time. keep up the good work GGG
Im well glad that the devs feel the same way that I do about the current state of texture streaming and gameplay.

Looking forward to a speedy fix.

Exactly. Only using 2GB out of 8GB is just... not great.
I didn't follow the hardware scene but I suppose 4GB card should be quite the norm these days already. So, yeah, on PC 4GB is probably the 'minimum' to be targeted.

2GB constrain feels heck more like console restriction due to old gen console only having that much (or actually less) to spare.

Or how about just provide a slider to tell the game how much memory should it uses, if that is possible. Some other games do provide such function.

I have 2GB on my gtx 950, go away or buy me a new one :) Also, game works more or less fine, fps isn't smooth af, but i have much less problems overall and no texture streaming issues on my GTX 950 + i3 7100 setup, also hilarious in comparison with ppl on high end rigs ) poggers
If this doesn't get the huge performance issues of this game under control i'm done for good. It's insanely frustrating losing experience over and over again [Removed by Support]

The entire wall of text from them also completely avoids the main two issues:

1)None of it addresses the biggest problem we have of Assets simply never loading into the game when they should in the first place.

2)We still don't have the ability to turn off the current texture streaming alpha.
More promises... waiting for results/actions.
