You misread that - Grace has both, the flat AND the new %. The flat did not get replaced.

The post states "now has ... as well as its existing flat bonus". I read this as Grace retaining, not losing, its flat bonus. Unless my reading is incorrect, all memes aside, this is a strict buff for (base, non-Vaal) Grace.

Dodge and Blind provide more mitigation for fewer passive points and item slots than any other defence type. Attack Dodge does this in a form that is almost identical to Evasion but is far more efficient.

this is hilarious to me. because this has literally been the case every since i started playing the game, back in open beta.

i guess they've literally nerfed every single option to the point where this is next on the chopping block!

remove dodge and now just giving evasion characters mitigation instead of avoidance. really seems like you guys are confused and scrambling.

From what I can understand.
If you can get 100% spell suppression.

You get hit by spells 100% of the time.
You get permanent 50% physical spell damage reduction.
50% reduced spell damage on top of your 75% max elemental resist, which is crazy, don't know the exact calculations.

If you get the Revamp Acrobatics. And you manage to invest max 75%.
You get hit by spells 25% of the time.
You get hit for 100% physical spell damage.
Elemental spells which get reduced by 75% of your max resist.

Most players will just get 100% spell suppression which requires lesser investment.

This requires more investment over the Massive powered original dodge.
You need 900 Dex to get 30% spell dodge now.

Iron-Reflex could be a thing now.

Everyone worried about Fortify and assuming it is going to take one big hit to get the full advantage. I believe Fortify is getting some sort of stacking mechanic so the faster attacking builds that do not do one big instance of damage are going to be fine. Everyone needs to take a breath and wait on the full patch notes before having a heart attack. 3.15 ended up being fine i actually enjoyed the league. The worst part of it was the economy because half the player base quit without giving it a chance. We will figure out ways to get make the defensive changes work just like we figured out ways to still insta nuke bosses after the damage nerfs. The sky is not falling.
Please, leave Sanctified Flask as long as it currently is, and add the recipe for 3 Sanctified Flasks = 1 Divine Flask.

I feel the same! This is the best arpg there is! You guys rock. Playing a scion class for so long I am looking forward to the changes because it will allow this class to excel. I don't think I have seen a more diverse hybrid build outcome than POE Scion!
