" It's never a players job to adapt to any changes devs decide to pull out of their arse. It's always a devs job to make sure a player enjoys playing their game. They get paid for it, with the money from many players' pockets. Also, guess you weren't able to "adapt" with your 11 challenges done then. " LOL, I have the honour to inform you that most of the players are not GGG simps like you, they dont have to improve adapt or change, they just wont to have fun!!! fun!!! fun!!!, not a second job. GGG and you dont understand this so POE is losing player base. Why do you think they a posting all of this, yes they are losing money(POE is non just a game it's a business). And now GGG is doing the same mistake like blizzard with WOW. Not the player base should adapt to the game, but the game should be adapted to the player base desires.
GGG is a game from Gamers to gamers, and ofc its a business to, i never denied that. THey are doing the exact opposite of what Blizzard has been doing..they are listening to their playerbase, they are creating content..the exact opposite of what Blizzard does... Stop comparing GGG to Blizzard, when you clearly have no clue about how Blizzard has been handling business.. Second of all, gg has the final say, then decided to make changes..its up to you to decide whether youre going to adapt to the changes, or act like a spoiled brat and quit the game. Its your job to adapt, it works like that in any game..you need to adapt to change. It works like that with everything in life...so grow up dude :)
I dont know who indoctrinated you that playing a game is actualy 2 job where u have to adapt, overcome something, and not about having Fun. Why dont u prove me wrong and level at least one of your character to level 100, improve, adapt overcome !!! Because i tried and never achieved this goal, you know why, cose after level 97 if u die u have to do hundreds of maps just to recover 10% lost experience. That my friend is half of day of gaming. Half of day not staying with your kids, wife or friends. And all of this is because of 1 shot mechanic, and it doesnt mater if u have 3000 life or 9000, 5000 armor or 50000, -20% resistances or 75% u will still be 1 shotted. Community asked GGG to do something about this. Did they listened to their player base? No they didnt(like blizzard). Is not all: - Clunky trading - Clunky NRG Crafting (heavy demanding of 3.14 harvest deterministic crafting) - 1 mln clicks per map. Did GGG listened to community and tried to address this issues? No they didnt. Only empty, mostly useless words, posts and podcasts. The game is not Fun anymore. In this moments are coming absolute GGG simps like u and telling everyone to shut up and play it anyway cose a game shouldnt be fun, and if u dont agree with this u are spoiled brat. Prove me wrong, next league level one of your character to level 100. |

My 2c:
(1) Making sure there are low-to-medium investment armour/physical mitigation tools for evasion-based builds. I'm thinking of something in between Molten Shell and Determination. :) Rationale:
Spoiler
Suppose that as a starting point, we have a player who has mainly invested in evasion, life, resists, mobility, damage and a bit of life regen/leech in terms of gear and skill points. They suddenly hit a wall where they find themselves dying a lot to heavy physical attack hits. They would like to keep the evasion-based playstyle but get some armour or physical mitigation specifically.
If you want a lot of armour quickly, you have the high investment options such as Determination and Iron Reflexes - or swapping your chest slot for a hybrid (see (2)). You also have smaller sources such as Ancestral Cry and (base) Molten Shell, which from the numbers don't seem to provide enough armour alone. Granite Flask is a better option with good affixes, but I still think there's space for more low-to-medium-level options, such as: - Flat bonuses from existing skill gems (something like alternate quality Tempest Shield?) - New flat armour bonuses as affixes on flasks - Further buffs to existing sources of flat armour from flasks/temp buffs (For 3.17, it would be nice to see either more medium-reservation auras or maybe some alternate quality options to existing ones?) (Why I'm talking of just evasion? Armour- and ES-based characters are arguably in a different spot because you can more often choose between block and evasion to boost if (when) you want to diversity a bit, and block appears to be more accessible than before now. It does less for evasion if your main frustration is getting killed by large physical hits.) (2) Moving some of the burden of the core defences from chestpiece to other gear slots. Rationale:
Spoiler
Making core defences matter more will presumably mean that your chest slot becomes even more important in relative terms than before.
What this means that once you have a 6L, there is a heavy jump in upgrade cost to your defences (especially at start of the league, in temp leagues and in SSF modes). Upgrading your character becomes a lot less smooth because you can't just pick a 5 % defensive upgrade and put it on, you also have to invest heavily into linking and colouring it. The progression already seems quite bumpy for a lot of players (i.e., the time investment required for the next transition in difficulty suddenly jumps so much it feels like a brick wall; my impression is that a lot of players felt this way reaching semi-juiced T16 maps this league). One simple way to offset this would be to move some of the burden to other pieces of your gear, so that other pieces of gear can roll higher and your chestpiece similarly lower values of the core defences. This would also allow players to diversify their defences more easily while the shift still being meaningful (e.g. sacrifice X evasion to get 0.5X armour). Influence modifiers etc. should still give you enough to chase for to keep upgrading your 6L, but in bigger chunks. (3) Erring on the side of overcompensation for blind nerf/dodge removal. Rationale:
Spoiler
I understand/agree with most of the general reasoning behind the changes. I also don't expect it's realistic to delay the nerfs entirely from a development perspective.
However, I'm worried that either the perception or the reality of how previously evasion-based builds will currently feel to play early on will further damage the player numbers, which indirectly affects all of us. I believe it would be safer to err on the side of overcompensating in terms of core defences (and monster damage output) for removing dodge and nerfing blind so heavily. Honestly, it's unlikely to produce tons of truly immortal characters that completely trivialize content and quit because there's nothing to challenge them. (For perspective, one of the characters I played this league was a Jugg with 400k sustained armour without VMS and 90/90/90/75 res, and it wasn't exactly difficult to find content that could still kill it.) Adjustments can be made again in 3.17. |

Flesh and Stone is a nice gem for melee builds which does not have much evasion ,that blind effect makes me evasive . It is great for farming . R.I.P to that I guess .
On the other hand I noticed most of my deaths happen when I am shocked. So the new tempest shield is most welcome and was much needed for my melee build. |

"If you didn't rely on (and didn't care about) gladiator block, large amounts of dodge or blind, the TLDR is these are (extremely likely to be) buffs for you. |

" that's how classes work. one excels in something particular. but GGG is like: noooo - let's make all classes equal just with different portrait icons. |
