" It makes no sense to answer someone who can't even hit more than 18 achivs more that once. They didn't touch any endgame, but still trying to discuss abt changes. " This deserves more love than it got. Pies of Exile for the win. Anyway, I'm pretty much a casual/simp when it comes to this game, but even I'm super disappointed with this manifesto. I always try to PoB a build for myself, always end up struggling by either having good defences but zDPS, or I end up glass cannon, and inevitably resort to copying a meta build and following a guide. Trying to get to grips with the cycles in this game drives me mad - mana gets changed so everything costs more mana, reservation masteries get added to the tree which makes things a bit smoother but then they get taken away and you are back to square one. More time needed to make sure I don't gimp myself from having fun late game, which comes at the expense of... actually playing and having fun. If things are popular because they are powerful/efficient/whatever, then why not bring the floor up closer to the ceiling and offer more buffs to bring things in line? Expand the pool of good things by bringing more into it instead of forcing more things down to the pool of garbage. Even just from a mentality/psychology perspective, imagine how hyped people would be if the perspective was 'oh cool, XYZ skill got some love and is now totally viable for 3.19!' as opposed to 'oh, a bunch of stuff got nerfed and now I'm going to have to pick something mediocre'. It just feels like everything in this game is getting too much nowadays, from dozens of bits of content, to hundreds of skills (of which most are rubbish) to thousands of uniques (of which most are rubbish). Maybe I'm burning out, or maybe I'm just realising that I'm unwilling or unable to dedicate the time and energy to ever being able to understand and experience all of the content, who knows. If that's the case and I'm not the target audience then that's fine, I'll take my money somewhere else. In any case, gutting ascendancies like necro, which were surely intended to give you a platform to be able to create specific archetypes of build, is something I just can't understand. On the one hand it's supposedly bad that other classes aren't being used for minion builds, but then it's also bad that left-side builds were able to access spell suppression... which is it? I really can't tell if specialisation or generalisation is the enemy here. Hoping for some mega patch notes or a mind-blowing league mechanic, let's see. |

Ive killed ubers and all content in this league for first week and after just running around for some shit.(I dont care about achievements btw) Yep, it was seismic but anyway in current league you could kill this with alot of builds. I want hard game coz if you want easy you can play ALOT of different games. Really. There are so much games for casuals and guys with playtime 3-5 hour per week. Enjoy it. Peace |

I don't understand why ggg persists in harassing the 10% who play necromancer (and many are doing it since years) while we constantly have -new broken builds each new league- (like this fire trap dot inquisitor) because of a blatant failure of balance handling.
Maybe there's an hidden reason behind this, I can't expect to know the real intents. |

" You didnt play this league much either - 36 uber kills, 54 4 mod rare - really? That's not what you should have after claiming *did all content*. Did you even try to come out of 5way? You set up a kinetic blast wand build and run it for 5way few weeks and call game easy? If you want game to be challenging - you could use bad skill, go hardcore or ssf. There is plenty god damn options to make it harder. But there is NO option to make it easier. Introduce easy mode, something like 3.13 skill balance + all new additions. I'm ready to pay 10/20/30/whatever amount of $ as subscription to play it. I'm ok if it's gonna be voided and ssf. I'll shut up, and ggg could nerf stuff in non-easy mode 24/7 = i'll be totally ok with it, if that wont affect easy mode. But I dont have such option. And my experience as semi-casual player is getting only worse every league. 3.13 Was the best league ever! 3.18 Rest in peace my beloved recombinators, I'm gonna miss you... I am reading this thread and I have my opinion on why the changes are going in this direction.
The answer is : TIME !!! Not some time there, but game time. Check it out. There is always hype after the start of a league and the number of players goes into hundreds of thousands for the first 2 weeks, max 3 sometimes 4. People with really strong builds embrace Achievements & Challenges and give up waiting for the next league and new mechanics. They achieved what they wanted and it makes no sense to play. After about 4 weeks, the number of players starts to drop by an avalanche and after 1.5 or 2 months only streamers, hardcore players or people who are just starting out play. What are nerfs for? In order to extend the time to build an optimal character capable of clearing the entire content of the game in a given league. Weaker build = more time to play = less outflow of players one month from the start of the league = better statistics. With strong builds, the game cleans up too quickly, so nerfs are an artificial slowdown of the game progress for me. " The only problem - that does not work this way, I had plenty of friends who quit this league after week 1-2 because it was too difficult for them to continue progressing, even with my help - in the end they told me, that my exa wont help, they just dont enjoy the game and they better quit it right now and give up. Also, the best player statistics were in 3.13... 3.13 Was the best league ever!
