Should we ban the use of all third party tools and resources, because they also give massive advantages?

No looking up affix weighting when planning a craft. No price checking tools, you have to use your own market knowledge. No websites for configuring filters, everyone has to use the same ones and learn how to identify drops themselves?

Should we cap playtime so people who don't have traditional jobs no longer have an advantage over normal working people? Go full mobile game, only 1 hour of farming counts for drops or experience per day.

If the advantage was something people desired, you could literally run the game in windowed mode and resize it to see more. But people weren't doing that, because it didn't matter.

Stash tabs also give you a pretty big advantage, and they're paid. How is screen size more competitive than that? It's not like the meta builds benefit from seeing offscreen anyways, LS/LC/RF are all medium range to melee. Even if they did, we would see people resizing their screen for the better view, but they don't, because it didn't matter.

I would bet money on the reason this got pushed being the same reason we're severely restricted in what graphical effects we can turn down or turn off. They don't want the game looking ugly when people see you playing it.

This is a fantastic idea! All these cheaters have been getting away with it for too long. In addition to a 1080p 30fps cap (which keeps things from becoming p2w), GGG should also perma-ban anyone who alt-tabs from the game or has third party tools open while PoE is running. If anyone's build is doing well, they should look at that too to see if someone cheated by using path of building and needs a ban. It's beyond dispute. The game needs to be fair and get rid of all these cheats.

So a month after the start of the league, the status is still the same...
