Nerfing Defensive Archnemesis Modifiers
We dont want AN, Period get it in to your thick skulls and stop forcing ur shit development ideas upon us.
AN was a disaster and now you have made it absolute core you will be nerving this for next 300 years. Just remove it, no more nerfing no more complaining , no more anti fun leagues. |

In order to win players back you need to do 4 things: 1) APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE FOR TRYING TO DECEIVE US (you lost all credibility that you had. Have fun restoring trust which is nearly impossible once it's lost) 2) REVERT LOOT CHANGES 3) REMOVE AN 4) RESTORE CRAFTING (bring back Harvest crafts such as "keep pref/suff, BUFF HARVEST FFS and restore tainted currency) BTW it doesn't really matter at this point because you just killed your game. It will NEVER recover from your so called "Vision". |

No hate, I love ggg.
But I gave it one more shot. Spent my free time going back to level 1. Took me 2 days to reach act 10. I wasn't enjoying. Blue mobs still take a lot of time to kill. So should we just skip all blue and yellow mobs then? What's the point then? When I play poe, it no longer makes me excited, I feel burnt out instead. Takes 5 minutes to kill this blue pack, okay next pack 5 minutes, another pack 5 minutes again, and so on. I believe this burns a lot of casual players out. Shoutout to those heralding minions out there. They get on my nerves. |

This is like my second or third post ever. I quietly plug along with whatever changes GGG decides to make but 3.19 has pissed me off. I've spent more money on this game than any other game I've EVER played because I enjoyed this game more thany any other I've played.
That stopped with 3.19. I've held off buying supporter packs the last 2 leagues bc I was concerned with the direction the game has taken since Expedition. Its seems to be that the developers care more about changing the foundation of this game more than they care about what makes the game "fun". I'm giving this game one more week for some good faith effort to fix all of the community's MAIN complaints which are : 1. Bring back loot drop quantity like it was at least in 3.18 2. Stop trying to change the difficulty of the game into something that takes average players 2 months to complete a build(I had like 10 builds last league, I can't even finish my atlas this league) 3. Just drop ArchNemesis...It's frustrating and NOT FUN(the only thing that truly matters to players) I'm not a demanding whining gamer but I'm angry about all the money I've wasted in this game as of right now for it to be in the state it is. |

This is a baby step in the right direction but isn't even close to good enough to bring players back to 3.19. I really hope there are some deep discussions at GGG about design philosophy before the release of 3.20.

Archnemesis is not designed to fit all content in the game. Quite a few mechanics restrict you to a small area or require you kill rare adds while fighting a boss.
In these scenarios, build breaking rares or crazy combinations of archnemesis mods mean you will end up dead either very frequently or eventually. Ground affects, massive aoe, build disabling mods or unkillable rares that you can't run from mean you can't do such content and it either limits what build you can play or content you can do. I don't see an easy way to fix this without removing build breaking mods and reducing crazy aoe or removing these types of mods from the pool in certain mechanics. If you don't want to remove any mods you either need different pools of mods for different content or you need to give players agency to add or remove archnemesis all together. The problem of removing archnemesis is that you still need rares to have some mods so you are back to square one. Personally I think you should remove it from the core game and have it as a league mechanic similar to a rogue metamorph that can be opted out of. You could make it as challenging as you wanted then and buff rewards. That still leaves the need for something else for rares and magic monsters in core game. Not sure how that would look but assuming it was not as ridiculous as arch nemesis it would mean you could add more rares back into the game if you wanted. |
