Why is pathofmatth banned?
People are so nice until they aren't.
Trust issues abound when you see the dark side of people not getting their way, or experiencing a perceived loss. Telling someone to "go play with your mtg cards you bald mfer." is.... never OK. Try to be the higher lifeform you know you are capable of being. What is the value of my own life when it is taken from others so easily?

Wasn't one of the issues with TfT them banning people who said things they didn't like on Reddit?
Guess GGG just graduated. Guy is not pleasant and was venting, I don't know anyone who says stuff when venting, that A they don't really mean, B was doing it away from the person they were venting about. I mean he could have been venting in WhattsApp, or someones private chat server, or any of the other myriad NON GGG owned platforms, would they have been justified if someone sent them a screenshot of it? seems a lot of you people think the answer is yes. And before you start bashing, I've never watched PoM, never really heard of the guy till today, and it's the internet you see all sorts of people frpm across the spectrum, he seems to have certainly filled a niche for a lot of people, IE there was a demand from people for his attitude/content. Divorce yourself from your personal view of the person banned, GGG have just made a statement that if you say anything they do not like anywhere and they see it, you can lose your account, if that is not overreach I have no idea what is. And lets be honest, GGG just lied to their entire playerbase to not lose money on the launch of LoK, no mention of historic loot modifiers being removed, no list of changes to harvest AKA the removal of the most popular crafting recipes, they knew 100% if this information was made public they would lose millions and millions of dollars in revenue, and you guys are banging the drum for them now deciding anything said on the internet is under their purview and remit. Just lol. |

Just cause you despise path of math (like i do btw) doesn't mean you cannot find this ban a bit much, like tos should aply to the game its forums and reddit page maybe or ofc if you are actually messaging them irl.
[Removed by Support] Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” Last edited by jackof8lades#6863 on Aug 25, 2022, 7:57:39 PM

Banning him as a streamer is a unnecessary power move and makes GGG look weak and petty as if his remarks OUTSIDE of the game hit a nerve. I don't get this cancel culture at all. Why do they spend time on that at all instead of focusing on the game?
Does the moon care when dogs bark at it? |

i mean is okay to say bad things about something u dont like, but personally attacking person calling him names is just plain toxic
[Removed by Support] not just random twitch chat message he literally said it on his twitch where GGG PAID streamers to play the game. Last edited by Isaac_GGG#0000 on Aug 25, 2022, 8:31:29 PM

Is that the sound of the world's smallest violin I hear playing?

" How were his remarks outside of the game? He was streaming PoE while insulting their chief developer. Look, I hate the current iteration of PoE. I don't like anything about 3.19, but repeatedly abusing the head of the company while making money off their game is a scumbag move. It may not have been the best move from a PR point of view, but unless he's an utter moron, he must have known that he was crossing a line by targeting a particular individual. If he had railed against GGG as a whole, or the developers or designers more broadly, he may have gotten away with it, but he went after Chris specifically, and that is uncalled for. And please don't say he didn't name anyone; everyone knows exactly who he was talking about. |

He said the fun was out of the game for him anyway. Sounds like he needed a vacation.

" I just watched the clip. He doesn't say any name at all. He is referring to a bald person. What is the connection to GGG staff here? Because Chris happens to be bald like my Avatar? Last edited by Isaac_GGG#0000 on Aug 25, 2022, 8:32:23 PM

" I'm not sure what this 'USA mentality' is; given that it's contrary to actual US law and jurisprudence. Insofar as I've seen what you describe it's mostly just believing either people should be able to say anything without consequence, or people objecting to a ban/consequence because they dislike the conclusion, and rationalizing it by using speech as a cover; when they wouldn't mind at all if it was a ban they felt was 'deserved'. But that's just an impression; and I don't know what mentality you actually mean to describe. And we really can't get into the details without politics interfering, so best to not say anymore on it. |
