Lag spikes since 3.20
Long loading time of zones today.

I've returned after a few years of break. Playing in EU / Ger. I'm pretty shocked about the latency issues.
I managed to finish the campaign and level up a bit despite the bad connection, but mapping is almost impossible. Constant lag spikes keep getting my character killed and honestly even more so my motivation to play this game. |

Since few days game is unplayable in EU in the evening. Initially I thought it is my PC or connection but I run various tests and this is problem with PoE network - in WinRTM issue starts when it leaves my ISP network.
Usually I am getting massive lag spikes when multiple monsters spawn (like Eldritch monsters or Harbies packs) or multiple are killed (like Boneshatter aoe thing), only y'day I lost 30 percent points because of that. Especially annoying that I think my character is able to push for 100. I run a brief check today in the morning, no problems at all. Unfortunately as a working dad I have no other option than to play in late evenings. Right now there is no point in playing, those lag spikes are taking all the fun out of the game. I have the same problem. It started with 3.20, I never had this issue before. To be fair most of the time the game runs perfectly fine. But it's getting annoying to lose heists/unique content due to lagspike and disconnects.

Guys don't bother GGG doesn't care and the problem is on most of EU at this point and other servers around the world have started to have issues as well, fanboys here just tell everyone it's their own fault or their ISP.
Honestly just play something else it's not worth the trouble and there is nothing you can do anyway VPNs rarely help either i tried. Unfortunately it seems GGG will not understand they have to do something until they loose enough paying customers. Last edited by tet666#4948 on Feb 1, 2023, 10:58:37 AM

![]() This is just one of 4 traces I did and all of them show massive packet loss starting at that f*cked up ...ntt.net server (either one or both of them). You can see it continues through every hop afterwards so that's the root cause. It belongs to 'NTT America, Inc.', these servers particularly are in Frankfurt and mess up the game big time. I also did the countercheck, instances that run fine never have these servers and show no packet loss. Switching login server or using VPN is absolutely useless because the route always goes via the first hops, no matter where it goes then. If you use VPN, all that happens is it STILL goes through the f*cked up servers and then to your VPN server and then to GGG servers. So yeah... nothing we can do. Sent them an email but ofc expect no answer. Last edited by Jasmira#0473 on Feb 1, 2023, 2:50:55 PM

same pic here...starting with *.ntt.net (located in Toronto) moving on to *.networklayer.com (located in Frisco) to *.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com (Armonk).
you can't play in the evening unless it's fun to die within seconds regardless the map, the last you see is an empty map, next you are dead |

I have found a temporary solution in my case. WinMTR showed packet loss for the communication between my ISP and the login node. I changed the login to Milan (from Amsterdam) and no more packet loss.

" Have you checked WinMTR output for one of those suspicious servers mentioned above? Just tried this morning before work and no lags BUT WinMTR doesn't show *.ntt.net (located in Toronto), *.networklayer.com (located in Frisco) or *.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com (Armonk) in the route. I'll check this evening again. Assume lags will be there same as for those servers. |
