I used to be pretty hardcore into Hardcore and Righteous Fire / Fire Trap has been a boss killer for as long as I have played the game. So I both agree and disagree. Boneshatter has been one of the first uber killers in HCSSF race for a few leagues now so you are wrong. Your thinking trade league where people spend divines to get so much damage they dont have to deal with boss mechanics.

In SC boss killers are typically builds that phase out the boss fast enough for you to not bother with dodging the mechanics.

In HC, and HCSSF especially it's simply which skill scales damage the easiest in combination with which ascendancy can take the hardest hits and dots. I personally, cannot comprehend how racers can beat maven in a few days in HC they are simply a different level than i could ever dream of. Again, I love the game and love the challenge, I just cant justify the time spent trying to achieve these things. It is the first game ever played where I have not been able to kill everything.

I don't want to tell u how to play the game or anything, but I understand where u're coming from.
I was playing exlusively HC in PoE for a very long time. I think I started during the open Beta.

The problem for me was, that the game became more and more time consuming over the years and with the introduction of certain Endgame bosses like Elder and Shaper I realized I just couldn't do it anymore with my time available.
So back in Harvest I swapped to SC SSF and I never regret that decision.

Sure sometimes I miss the feeling of HC, but in the end the game is still very fun even in SC. If u can get over the fact, that the thrill is missing, it's still better than quitting the game.

Just something to think about. U can also do one league SC and the next HC to have some progress and then a challenge for the next time.

Hell I still build most of my chars like HC chars, because I hate the feeling of dying, especially during bossfights^^

I hear ya, if i do play the game its gonna be SC for sure. You just cant do boss fights HC in the blind in this game unless you are a god gamer. I got through most of them just fine, but maven and sirius were too much for HC without knowing the fight. Il never forget fighting eater the first time in HC and having him one shot me because i didnt touch the orbs. Someone said, go for it its easy you wont lose everything, yeah its easy if you understand that part.....

Its actually a lot "worse": If you look here https://www.pathofexile.com/ladders/league/HC%20SSF%20Ancestor the #1 needed only ~30h to beat all 7 uber pinnacles in SSFHC (which includes Uber Maven).

Self-imposed difficulty is your choice though, you could achieve a goal of killing all bosses but you're hamstringing yourself. Why not use the systems in place? It's still difficulty, no point making it even more.

That is literally insane. These guys are just different breed of humans.
I can't even comprehend how that's possible. I'm not spending a lifetime trying to beat one game. POE is just too much, uninstalled and it will stay that way. I think POE 2 will be even harder. Good luck everyone.

If there is content in this game you can not complete it is simply an issue that you do not wish to complete it.

Stop watching videos of people with builds blowing up endgame bosses and actually watch videos of people doing the content with normal builds actually showing all the mechanics.

Almost any build in the game can be made to complete all the content in the game DPS simply makes this achievement easier/harder is all. But, even builds with really amazing damage if you do not understand the mechanics can still be a challenge eating up most portals.

Most of the endgame bosses are just a matter of patience and positioning and nothing more.

Check out Alkizer's video he done a while back showing doing all the uber bosses with beyond lackluster DPS but, at least focused on defenses and mechanics management. He even explains all the things you need to look out for and how to manage them in order to do all the fights with no DPS. Just make sure your ready for 15-20+ Minute fights. But all the information he gives makes it possible for just about anyone to replicate what he does if they just listen and pay attention to the mechanics of the fights.

Something I personally done especially when new fights were added that helped me the most was running just about any build that works with Juggernaut. RF especially since you can get more than enough defenses to give you plenty of room for mistakes and ways to correct them as you learn. This will help a lot on other builds that mistakes become one shots even with multiple times more damage to get the job done. Making it much easier to know what you can and can not allow to hit you in each fight and how to best avoid them. Eventually you will get to the point you can run high DPS builds and have success because you still most of the time will have to avoid mechanics anyway unless you invest mirrors into a build which I never have done.

It's also worth noting on that point that learning how to allocate currency and farm first is probably the most important part to achieving besting all the content in the game since currency=power in this game. The more currency you can farm the better your character will be and thus the easier endgame content will be.

Anyone here remember back when uber atziri was discovered? Fighting normal atziri was hard enough, then you hear rumours about the fact there's an uber version that only the top players can defeat. Boss services were a great way to earn and people with good reputation even offered a streamed kill back then. "come get your loot". If you got disfavour or Acuity, it was basically worth starting a new build over.

I had 10k dps when atziri first came out. Back then, 200k dps was gargantuan. Now the wikis say you need at least a million dps. So, the minimum recommended is 5x what the top end was back then. Not an apples to apples, but interesting to look back regardless. OP's done well, in hardcore at that, but it's not enough to keep up as now you need to fight the end-game bosses just to complete your atlas and get the voidstones. Admittedly the non-uber variants, but the threshold required to pass the game's viability test is so much higher, and, kinda-mandatory these days.

Inflation is real and being unable to keep up is why I guess the OP's come to the end of his Path of Exile

No ones got time for your ignorant bs. My cyclone build is private. I showed you a proof of concept video. Its not my fault if you do not know how to play the game mate. If you do enough research you will find that what I have said is real. I even have characters on my profile right now proving so.
