Hardest most time consuming game of all time

whether hc is hard depends on your build. it's not hard to be literally immortal on pf, but you're not really doing that on something like assassin

I don't think you'd know since most of your characters seem quite squishy but there are untouchable builds in the game, you couldn't die even if you wanted to. And I didn't say "hc ez just dont die", it's obviously not easy for classes that can't get very tanky, but if your sole purpose is to survive and have just enough damage for non-uber stuff, it's easy because pathfinder exists.

Typically I prefer playing balanced builds (even in HC) rather than immortal ones, but don't you worry.. I'm more than aware of that type of build and how to create one. It's a question of how far you want to go to and what you are willing to give up on.

Could argue if that's good for the game, but that sort of freedom is kinda what makes PoE so awesome

I don't know how you guys play hardcore, honestly. Too scare.

I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

I played PoE for years before I even dared to touch HC at all, and sometimes I skip entire seasons due to frustration with how punishing it can feel to lose a character to something out of your control.

But I will say that the rush of adrenaline when you run content and barely escape death's grasp is incredible. When you get into a groove and stop paying attention while watching something on YouTube, you notice your health dropping to an uncomfortable threshold and your heart skips a beat haha :D it's something

I played the game briefly in 2019 and reinstalled it 1-2 months ago.
When I saw the "hardcore" option when creating a character, I had to laugh so hard with tears on my face. Who needs comedy with things like this?
