POE ( 1 ) Legacy items into POE2 ?

Hello,

will POE 1 legacy items convert over to POE 2 in standard? A lot of us have old eternal orbs etc right? Will those convert over to POE 2 in standard or will we lose all those legacy items you can no longer achieve due to changes?

Please let me know if you have any information regarding the fact that POE 1 standard legacy items will not be changed. If you do know please add sources or references, I don't care about he said she said or, I heard...

respectfully

No, PoE and PoE 2 are two different games. The only thing that will carry over, are MTXs.

You will still have your items in PoE 1, though - and PoE 1 isn't going anywhere just yet.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

that is why they add a command to destroy AA.

So that people can carry over to POE2 as mtx.

Unless GGG also made such command to convert item to POE 2 , there is no chance items will carry over to POE2.

hello scooby

i think you may have missed out some poe2 dev updates and are basing your question based on old info.

poe2 is separate from poe1 now.

ggg announced this in the last exilecon last year.

i hated it but have grown to understand it and now am hyped for poe2.

They may need to put a disclaimer on that old content, maybe?
There would be a tonne of outdated info on example reddit
Exhibit A https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/156noyy/will_gear_orbs_gems_etc_carry_over_to_poe_2/

Although i'm keen to hear more about what functionality they're implementing in poe2 and if any of it will be cascaded down... such as sockets, colours.
The original intention was to get rid of jewelers and fusing, wonder if that's even still on the table.
Although since then, we've been given a wide array of options to just force it which is an sufficient solution.

There are ton of outdated stuff in old patch notes too......as well as in this forum.

People keep necro threads from 2013 and claim how that works, so that do these stuff need to add disclaimer ?

Why would the items carry over to a new game? Economy would be instantly ruined..

thats a very weird way of thinking.

you do realize theres "standard league" for that. but anyway you have nothing to worry about since nothings getting transferred except mtx/stashes tabs

you and me both. tho i think the way poe2 is balanced would mean players coming in with poe1 gear would just obliterate all content.

if poe2 was built around being a continuation of poe1 as originally intended, it would have been fine.

but its no longer the case so as sad as it is, i mourned the passing of my std gear in poe1 quite some time ago.

to quote a certain princess. "let it go"
