Path of Exile 2 Steam prices just doubled in my region.

it was $15 on on my country (south east asia / 3rd world country)
i only get paid $8 a day thats our average salary
now it's $30. while my friends was able to purchase it before the changes
guess i wont be playing poe2 till its free :(

Prices have always been the same since launch, why the sudden spike? There hasn't even been an explanation or reasoning behind it. I would understand gradual increases but DOUBLING prices out of nowhere is insane, especially for a company known to have such good community support and consumer goodwill.

I hope they can bring it back even if it is just for the cheaper version. I feel like a punished fool for not being able to do a transaction a day before today. If they don't I guess it is clear Tencent gives them creational freedom but won't allow any amount of goodwill for people who don't make nearly enough money as first world countries do.

I'm guessing people were abusing the regional discounts (VPN & stuff).

i managed to buy it at my regional price,
i had told my friends that it was going to be 20 dollars to play it and by insisting a lot i managed to make them give it a try, then i had to tell them it was delayed 3 weeks.
then i told them i bought it for 17 dollars and now that they were going to buy it the price changed to 30...
there is no way the will buy it now one of them said that he better will save the money for monsterhunter wilds.
when poe 2 finally comes out free, i doubt they will want to try poe2 they will prefer to keep playing monster hunter wilds.

People with thousand-dollar PCs powerful enough to play these horribly coded games pretending they can't afford the normal price everyone else has to pay... okay.

If I knew the price would go up yesterday I would have bought it.

This sucks so much, I was gonna get the game next week but it just doubled in price in my region, why would they do this

i didn't know, ppl could lower prices with vpns, well that sucks, but geuss it kind of makes sense if ppl lowering prices and getting cheap shirts etc.
