Path of Exile 2 Steam prices just doubled in my region.

So your anti-regional pricing stance is purely an ideological one, since you yourself admit that it's good business strategy. Can I ask why you think it's a good stance? What benefit does it bring, since the developer makes less money and potential customers in third world nations are priced out of a piece of art?

I don't like being charged more than others for the same product, especially since video games are not a necessity. It devalue those packs and promotes grey market issues. Regional pricing isn't guaranteed to bring in more money either, as we've seen that they reverted some of their regional pricing changes on steam. Yes they have some on their website too, but I doubt it has more impact than the steam sales. In my opinion, a single, global price seems better.

Again, it seems like your main issue with regional pricing is that it makes you feel bad. If you have any proof of it devaluing the product or promoting grey market abuse, feel free to put that forward.

It is unfair, that there are regional prices for luxury goods like video games in the first place. Everybody should pay the same. This company deserves it and those luxury products are not a human right nor basic need. Those changes are probably intended.

Is a simple fact, without regional pricing companies sell nothing on third world countries, with regional pricing they do sell a lot. That is better for them.

Total nonsense. You have an expensive PC that can play this horribly laggy game... you can afford $30 US on a luxury product, or just wait for the free release.

I don't find this early access worth it so I don't buy it. Why so entitled?

No you cannot. Here people buy and build second hand PC frenquently exactly because of that. I am a software engineer and I do nto have a 4 K monitor still. I cannot afford it! Second.. the whole package is the cost of the entretainment.. and includes not only THIS game but all the games the person will have on a compiter. Most people have more money in their steam library than on the computer. People her, history have shown , will simply NOT buy game at the USA prices. Simple as that. Brazil had huge piracy rates, easily at 90% levels, and it dropped to near zero when Steam implemented regional pricing.

Do phrases such as "In my opinion" or "I don't like" hold less significance today? I understood them to be expressions of personal perspective.

There are enough examples in the internet of abuses in the past. One example:

It is easy to understand that this approach devalues the product, especially in the case of digital offerings. For example, in Switzerland, where I live, we face the highest prices for a Big Mac. While I would prefer to pay less, it is reasonable, given that Switzerland reports the highest wages in the UNECE statistics for 2023, with service sector employees earning significantly more here than in many other countries. However, this logic does not fully apply to imported or digital products. As a result, it feels less justified when I'm paying significantly more than others, especially when I am playing on the same servers as someone who has paid a fraction of the price.

It now costs more than $30/60/100 lmao

Just hope they have an update on the pricing if they will add the region pricing again. Don't want to end up spending more money and suddenly they decide to add the original pricing back
GGG should refund all the people who bought EA Packs with regional prices so they can buy it again at the right price. Im afraid if they dont do this they might not recover from a severe financial loss.

No you are NOT playing in the same servers. Each region has its own servers and the ones in poorer countries are less capable.

Oh, I see. So, I wasn’t playing on the same Frankfurt servers as German, British, Polish, French, and many others who had different pricing before the Steam price adjustment? Thank you for clarifying that. I must have missed the exclusive Swiss server... (Before somebody asks, no that was sacasm)

I actually added the pack to my cart. then I want to check out the site, to see the other pack since the steam page the details of each pack havent show up, clicking them go back to store page.

After i finish check out all the pack, decided i wanted to get the highest 1 at the steam, i remove the 1 added in cart, then to added the highest 1. Then i saw the pricing... and i was damn sad. I kept refreshing the page, it does still show the regional pricing, but the item when want to add show error. until i gave up.

Hope it was just setting issue, and regional pricing should be back in a day or not. but still nope, i felt being cheated and not being treated fairly. Is like price label on product, and price scanned at counter before payment is 2x the price, is like false advertisement.

The regional prices are not within EU. They are for South America, Africa and South Asia.
