Path of Exile 2 Steam prices just doubled in my region.

I've never said that.

Optional luxury products, including things like supporter packs, should be priced equally for everyone, regardless of location. These items are not necessities; they are extras for those who choose to and can afford to purchase them.
Luxury goods are typically priced consistently worldwide, and no one expects them to be cheaper in certain regions simply because of local economic conditions. By this logic, regional pricing for such optional items is unnecessary, as they are not essential to anyone's well-being. If you can afford them, great; if not, you can simply do without.

If video games are luxury goods, most people shouldn't play video games. They can't afford video games. Only rich/wealthy ...

Blizzard sold 3 days early access for $120, POE 2 early access clearly need to be higher than that.

Luxury goods are not exclusively reserved for billionaires. By one definition, they are simply "items that are desirable but not essential."

A yacht or a private jet is the same thing. It is desired by many but only a few people can afford it. But you do fine without them. Supporter packs are the same. But nobody would write the manufacturer of a private jet: Hey I'm a poor guy from africa. Do regional pricing on your jet, please.

Would you prefer that people from lower income regions not spend any money on your product at all then? You'd think that some money would be better than no money, unless you were committed to some abstract 'fairness' that only makes things unaffordable for poorer regions.
I was thinking of buying a supporter pack but prices just doubled after checking on Steam. This makes me sad, guess I am going to defer buying for now.

It depends. The microtransactions of this game are absurdly expensive in comparison to other games. So their target audience are people with a lot of disposable income. Their business model seems to work. So yes, I wouldn't do regional prices. Such systems only works because a group of people have nice things that the other group doesn't have and desire. That is the reason the game is free, you look like shit without skins and you can spend easily 200$+ on a few skins.

[Removed by Support] I'm just saying if they feel EA access is worth the price then they should get it.

I'm not and it's not. Don't know why you're trying to accuse me of something I'm not doing. You not liking the direct/non beating around the bush response doesn't mean I'm shitting on people.
PoE1 Dead
PoE2 Dead on Arrival
PoEM ???????

Still not seeing what that has to do with it. Having regional pricing isn't going to cause an oversized percentage of the playerbase to have good skins.
Yeap went up by like 8.50 for base in N.Z, I mean wtf you can't just change the price with no notice lol

Luxury goods are typically very expensive, high-end items.

I wouldn't buy a yacht or a private jet. From a monetary standpoint, renting is usually more beneficial and viable than owning one.

The letter should write "Hey, I don't need your plane."
