Sure, 6 points save is strong af but there are other things to spend your money on. It costs half of a medium-budget build which is already quite strong. I'm getting to the end of the road I think with ice chrono. The only real path forward I see is with dropping snakebite to pick up a better ring and ingenuity. I don't want to move to spark as I already have a spark stormweaver and point was for this to be a pure cold character.
Is ice nova the only other viable option? It's probably great against bosses but worse for mapping. Has anyone messed with this? POB for anyone who has insight https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/vk2960yq (I don't know why it isn't showing the actual energy shield on the items when you inspect). |

" Well, there ain't that many other spammable cold spells tho. EoW and Comet. And that Frost Bomb+Temporalis option too. But yes, Ice Nova is viable. Bossing is the same. Mapping..ugh. Ice Nova was too weak back then to clear stuff w/o Frost Wall. Can't really test it now, I'm on a trip w/o PoE2 on my laptop. But I'm sure it'd have the damage on the higher end. ~~~~~~~ Edit: I'm sure there are exiles who are running Ice Nova. Mind sharing your builds, please? I did some testing with ice nova and one cast isn't enough to break my frost wall as opposed to one frostbolt. This makes it very awkward in corridors. It also does a lot less damage than frostbolt in general. I really didn't enjoy mapping with it. Back to the drawing board I go.

Wanted to share my skill tree, was feeling pretty good about adding From-Nothing with Whispers of Doom, allowed it to tech into a lot of beneficial notable passives and combined with a timelost-sapphire, adds up to 42% critrate, 7% mana on kill and 77% curse aoe

Ruz has a fantastic showcase of ice nova in simu but it turns out their gear is a bit out of my price range for messing around. I think the jewels alone are worth 400div. That being said, Ruz isn't running MoM or EB. Almost 10K ES with 3K mana, looks very tanky. Focus, no scepter, lot of differences beyond just running ice nova.

Need help.
I just redid my tree and copy Monic's one from Maxxroll. I am 89. I have 50% crit on frostbolt and 60.75% on Comet without the Maligaro and with suboptimal Sapphire. Is it useless to get more than 50% crit on frostbolt? If yes, I will remove some of the tree crit change to move them somewhere else once I put the Maligaro. My damage is not crazy: Frostwall 14469, Frostbolt 13846, Comet 87243 Damage per use (from Cast on crit) Thanks |

Can anyone help me improve my Comet damage? It's currently at 110,000 and I'm not sure which way to go for upgrades.
