@monik: Just wanted your opinion on future stuff. Assuming that archmage gets adjusted in some way what would you try as options for staying as a cold chronomancer? How far do you think a character could get not dipping into lightning?

Why does he take lingering horror node and have increased chaos damage on wand in updated build?

" 100% Depends on what GGG will release, bc right now there is almost 0 alternative to Archmage for casters, besides Trampletoes. And 0 reason to try anything else, bc of how convenient mana scaling is (100% MoM, more mana cost with skill lvls, etc). It is so strong atm, that even if GGG will nerf Archmage by 50%, I still would go with it. Another thing is CoC + Temporal Rift mana pool reset. This is the best thing that spellcaster Chrono can do vs Bosses. Basically, signature class feature if we are not talking about Melting Maelstrom. I really wish each element had its own Archmage, not just lightning. Not sure why GGG hasn't made it in PoE2. Like, limited to 1 and benefit to spells with respective elements. Would be good. To answer the second question... Archmage multiplies my current damage by 12 times. So without it, my build i'd kill Xesht 82 in ugh...10 seconds? More or less. Sounds weak, considering the budget. As things are now, Trampletoe crap is the only viable non-archmage alternative. If both Archmage and Trampletoe would get removed from the game right now, there wouldn't be any reason to play caster Chrono at all. " Lingering Horror is on the secondary weapon set. It does the same thing as any other node on the secondary weapon set - increase skill effect duration. Chaos damage on the wand does nothing at all. " That's sort of why I asked the question. In the Q&A of that last interview thing they said they wanted top tier boss fights to last 1 to 2 minutes. Obviously a lot of things would have to change to make that a reality. |

It tooks me 3 attempts but I cleared Simulacrum +1. The difficulty comes more from the fact that round 14 and 15, there are so many things going around that it is hard to see where the bosses are. They are kind of small. I wish they were highlighted in yellow or something (not red like the other enemy).
I tried the gems that do 25% curse area increase. They do about 0.2m increase for my blasphemy. Some digits must be rounded up. I also tried the 4% increased effect for curses and it increase slow and conductivity (when I have it on blasphemy) by 2% which is quite big. I tested the range of temp chain with the size of the screen and I think we would need like 9m to get the full screen. Which is impossible I think. Roil and else do 0.2m. If I get all jewels to increse area, I might go to 8.2m. They are hard to find and I dont know how to craft jewel so not sure if it is worth it |

Is it just me or is the budget of 40 div just not realistic, i cant even buy a wand that has that high crit for under 100 div, how is the build suppose to cost that? Im referring to the https://mobalytics.gg/ build

" So I got 4 scoket 300%, all res, mana Morior it cost like 100 ex or so. Added 4 Zalatl cores. 5 socket version is damn expensive for me now (we talk about 20 div) I got that Snakepit ring. Meddled a bit with passive tree. Ditched Cast on Freeze. All and all I've pumped from 1500 mana to 2000-ish. Now the uptime on CoC is good. Frostbolt now trashing the Wall consistenly also having no problem killing trash. Did a Trialmaster fight but failed because skill issue ate that spiky attack that just oneshot me. In one rotation (conductivity, soul offering, time freeze, eye of winter, wall, bolts) I shot him almost 20% of his health. Which I significantly better than before. But yes, the bigger area you have, the harder it is to increase it. A=πr^2 So to increase from 8 to 9 meters you will need to add extra 26% of area, and from 9 to 10 - extra 23%, and it feels unrealistic, because you will need to do trade off in the damage for this. " Time Freeze ob bosses is satisfying af. If we can't kill the boss during it, there is no real reason to play Chronomancer at all. 2 minutes per fight? Yeah, my 1st ever Trialmaster was like 5m long, killed him with just Frost Bomb/Wall and self-casted Comet on freeze. I'm not sure if I want to repeat that experience outside of the campaign. I don't think GGG would go hard on long endgame fights tho. People need some power creep to feel good. Anyway, let's see what GGG will throw at us later. I don't like dropping builds, so unless we get nerfed to an absolutely unplayable state, I'd stick with this one. " Which is mobalytics build? By PaintMaster? Anyway. Prices went up really much... " I am fully agree with you. Since the boss has less time freeze duration with each next freeze and to reset the timer you should run in circles for, at least, 30 seconds, it really feels like we play without ascendancy at all ( 33% randomness in CD and extra 6-12% cooldown reduction is nothing) I really hope that 'Coming soon' skills will synergize with chronomancer.
