Hard crashing PC locks up

Has anyone tried turning memory integrity off in settings and seeing if that helps?

I don't have the issue here, nor an AMD chip, but this helped identify the similar sounding problem I had in cyberpunk that was then fixed by changing the core isolation mode
The crashing has become worse after the patches, now I basically can't get into the game without 2-3 crashes first and then it crashes again usually within 2 loading screens. BES limiting, changing affinity etc only makes me able to close the game instead of rebooting the PC. A buddy with basically the exact same setup has no issues on 24H2. The only difference is the motherboard and that he has 4070 super instead of regular 4070. Both with 7800x3d.

The thing that works for me is to disable "Enable Multithreading" in the options before every loading screen, i have not crashed once since then. Before i crashed every five-six loading screens and every second try when starting the game up.

It takes around 2s to do once you're used to it, it's second nature now after a couple of days and i'm not even thinking about it anymore. The option menu even saves where you were when you closed it, so after the first time you dont even need to scroll down to the option anymore.

It's really stupid that this is needed, but hey, at least it works without issue now for the last 4 days.
Same issue here, hard freezes need to reset/reboot my PC. No issues in other games at all. Win 11 24H2

ASUS ROG Strix B650E-E

RTX 4080

Can we please finally have a fix or at least an official statement? This issue is ongoing since EA start and there is literally no official word. Hello?

Maybe GGG slowly should consider at least f***** communicating with people who partially spent hundreds and thousand of Dollars for this piece of software ... Would be appreciated a lot!
Merry Christmas everyone. Don’t expect any communication on this or a fix until 2025 this way you’re not disappointed when all of your friends are blasting on Christmas
Break and you can’t even load into the game
Having this issue since the launch day. Specs are: AMD 7800x3D, 3080ti, 64GB DDR5.

Not only game is freezing the whole system, CPU is getting heated up to 89C, while even stress test doesn't put it above 80.

Disabling multithreading, setting up affinity e.t.c. - this preventing the system freezing, but game is still crashing and performance going down.
Any news?

Yeah they're taking a vacation. Didn't bother to at least say they are still looking into this.

Hey guys,

I've spent the last few days trying to find out if I can solve the crashing and rebooting problem.
I tried everything you could find on steam, reddit and here, even on youtube, although they were the same.

My specs

Ryzen 7 5800X
RTX 3070
32GB DDR4
24H2 Windows 11

The only thing I hadn't done, because that was my last solution, was to do a clean install, remove everything and install Windows 11 23H2.

I then installed it because I had no other choice and I really wanted to play on my vacation.

After installing 23H2 I then downloaded the game standalone, updated graphics drivers, VCC++ and that was it.

It runs much better for now, I don't have any more crashes and I could really NEVER watch a stream on the side. Now I can do that without any problems.

I know it's not the best solution and I also know that there are apparently also users who seem to have problems with 23H2 or 10, but it has helped me for now. I will let you know if anything changes.

BTW: Windows has listed a problem with 24H2 itself in which loading games can cause problems, this problem came exactly on 6.12.2024.

Therefore, try 23H2 !

I was locking up often (had to hard reboot). That all changed after I made this one and only change.

If you have a antiviris (I'm using Bitdefender), add an exception for your gaming folder and %appdata% for path of exile 2.

Stay safe Exile.
