Hard crashing PC locks up

Alright so I took the time to do a clean install of the latest 23H2 on my fairly new machine from october, since I could not use the rollback function anymore (7800x3d, 4070ti super, 32gb ddr5 6000 mt/s, 2 tb nvme)
Latest Chipset and Nvidia drivers. Motherboard is b650 eagle ax running on F2. Integrated GPU is still enabled because I use the hdmi port on the mb for a soundbar.

I haven't had a single freeze since I did this. Using Standalone client. Played Maps for many hours and rolled a new char to act 3 and so far no problems. Using Dx12 because I was feeling brave. Nvidia reflex was off. Only a 1080p Monitor on my holiday setup. Temps were all about the same as with 24H2.

It was a struggle for me though, getting accustomed with clean installs and using uudump and rufus and fiddeling with some bios settings and getting everything to work. Took me a whole afternoon and I was exhausted afterwards.

For those with freezes on 23H2, I am sorry that this is of no help to you. Maybe the BES or lasso stuff works for you. Or some clean install of 23H2 or a different bios version is what I would try if this hadn't worked out.

Good luck and lets hope GGG has an answer after the holiday break
Is there anyone with an AMD card who has this issue?

What are your qualifications sir to make a statement that modern computers are supposed to run/work at 100% load? The truth is It can run a load at 100% but not at prolonged times, and im willing to bet millions of dollars against you just to prove your statements wrong.

Okay. Show me the proof of your words referencing to the official datasheets limiting the using of CPU on the certain periods of specific load. What is considered "prolonged times" and what is not? I accept only references to the hardware manufactures like Intel, AMD, your motherboard manufacturer, PSU manufacturer etc. Just show me these documents.

PS All my home PCs capable to run at 100% load for weeks. The servers and workstations even more - for months without reboot.

Usually I just ignore you but this time I chime in because you mentioned servers (the thing I work with daily) and if your server running at 100% all the time - this is a good soil for outage. 100% availability doesn't mean 100% load. Spikes - yeah, happen (even then monitoring will scream but it's not a big issue). But running 100% 24/7 - I'm yet to see it as an intended usecase for server side.

POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
If ALL our games were crashing up our PCs, you could blame the platform builds/configs.

But Path of Exile 2 is the ONLY game lots of people are playing on a wide range of system builds that's hard crashing their PCs.

Different OS builds, different OS altogether (linux), Intel/AMD CPUs, GeForce/Radeon GPUs... the problem is Path of Exile 2. Period.

The only people seemingly safe from widespread hard system crashes with POE2 are the Xbox/PS console versions, but consoles are easier to develop for because they are all the same exact OS and hardware.

So all this anger and bickering is pointless.

This is all on GGG to fix their game to run on PCs.

Workarounds are all Band-Aids.

The game should run fine on GGG's Recommended System Requirements for POE2, which most of us exceed by miles.

This is on GGG and GGG alone.
Windows 11 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD
I shouldn’t have to scroll to the 3rd page to cope. This thread must always be on the first page!

Yeah me and others with X3D crashing reverting back to Windows 23H2 has fixed the crashes 100%. So if you crashing with a X3D CPU go back to Windows 23H2 update as this is mainly a fix for those with these CPU's.
This is day 18.

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
I have an unrelated Support Ticket open with GGG that has not been responded to in 16 days. So I imagine they are prioritizing more important things than my support ticket, hopefully one of those things is this dangerous bug I am also experiencing.

Sadly no. People who have reported this issue to the Support have received "we are not offering support atm" replies.

I am not kidding.
