Hard crashing PC locks up
12/24/24
Windows 10 AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor 3.90 GHz 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor 16GB RAM Radeon 5700 series Game NOT loaded on SSD. Opened the big map with U while other people were in party fighting. Map buffered. Hard crashed PC Disabled my video card. My drivers and chipsets were not present. I couldn't even open the program for my video card. Fix was a manual install of my video card drivers and chipsets. I'm very dissappointed. I put in a lot of effort to be available to play games on Christmas day. But.. I use my PC for more than entertainment. I can't place risk to my business for the game. "This is a non-functional paid product and you have the gall gaslighting people who are merely giving feedback and voicing their concerns? Get the fuck outta here. |

" They should have been communicating because this bug actually causes damage to users' hardware. Some dev writing in this thread, in steam, and as a separate pinned topic would have served as a warning that would have stopped people from trying to play the game when they have this "bug", saving their PCs. As you might have known, there are people on both threads that have reported damage to their computers, some have "simple" software issues, others have bricked hardware... Sadly the reason why they are not communicating is exactly this. Last night I had a conversation with a lawyer friend of mine who said that "this is the classic Chinese move". Further explaining that GGG is not commenting on the issue in order to not look like they are liable. This friend added that "This does not work in EU, UK, or USA. But doesn't stop them from trying." Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. |

Same problem, Win 11 24H2, CPU 7950x GPU 3070Ti.

" I am on 23H2. I can't even get the game to boot now. |
|
" This is such a stupid take. I do not want attention, in fact, I'd like to never have to visit this forum and have to post about such a stupid issue. I dont know if you have ever played ANY other game with launch issues, but they are effective communicators about their problems and they keep their community updated. Even Bungie does a better job than these guys. Blizzard for all of their faults even communicates better than these guys. No one is sending threats or anything like that, we are just peeved that we spent money on a broken product and there's no fix in sight so we have to try to do it ourselves. Stop being a simp, it's gross and embarrassing. |

hi, ive done a tool, that will limit POE2’ CPU affinity while loading Maps and prevent crashes with this way: https://github.com/CrimsonED1/POE2loadingPainFix

Merry Christmas yall. Hope you enjoyed the gift GGG gave to us. Or rather, the gift of our money that we gave GGG. We're approaching the one month anniversary of them acknowledging this was a problem and then never communicating again!

This guys
To turn off hardware accelerated GPU scheduling on Windows, you can do the following: Right-click the Start button and select Settings Select System Select the Display tab Scroll down and click Graphics settings Locate and toggle off the switch for Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling Restart your computer for the changes to take effect Still stops game when alt tabbing, but at least you can kill program with out need of hard restart. And works in window/fullscreen. Before it was enough to move mouse to second monitor and that caused crashes when loading to next zone. I do not take credit for this. Another guy posted this and it actually works Last edited by belze3546#3295 on Dec 25, 2024, 11:44:04 AM
