Hard crashing PC locks up
For anyone still having this problem the only solution that seems to work is Battle Encoder Shirase and limiting CPU to at least -5% (I have it set at -10%).
I have tried most solutions here, but changing settings doesn't work at all. Process lasso worked for a bit, but it still hard froze. |

" It is not really a permanent solution. It has been working for me, but BES reduce the performance of the game and even the computer in some strange way, and even then I experienced one or two freezes yesterday, which is still way less than without using it. GGG and Windows needs to update this. Last edited by Waiden#9514 on Dec 8, 2024, 3:47:23 AM

" I also limited my cpu by 10% and it hasn't froze the first two times I launched it so far... |

Can everyone stop with the CPU limiting nonsense? The CPU is still spiking to 100% and is causing hard crashes for people, this should be GGG´s number 1 prio because PCs are literally getting fried as we speak.

Same issue Ryzen 5 5600x RTX 3080 | |
Same here,
Ryzen 5 5600X with rtx 4070 |

" 3h since cleaning shader cache,no crashing. Maby it´s just luck,we will see later if it starts crashing again. |

I will confirm turning off multithreading worked for me today. Zero hard or soft crashes.

Happening to me.
Brand new 4080 super, 9800x3D build. Refusing to play till they fix this, not worth the thousands i've put into my pc... I find it hard to believe that this issue was not known about pre-launch, they intentionally released a game that could damage people's PCs. Insane. Same here with 4070 RTX and 5800X3D. However the posts about damaging the system are nonsense of course. Will try suggested solutions (Vulkan and so on) and report back. Disabling multithreading is not an option since the game runs terrible without and my steam deck then outperforms my desktop pc.
