Hard crashing PC locks up

I think, guys we are need to force refund our money. No more forced reboots.
day 44 of me having spent $30 but not being able to play poe2. this is more tragic than cyberpunk 2077 - at least you could load and play that game...

I agree, it's time to return the money.
I'm using PoE uncrasher from github atm and it works. I think if you're 1 month in and still can't play the game then just get a refund at that point. Ya'll can also lasso the system process manually if you want or you can play with CPU affinity in your taskbar.

There are so many workarounds that work atm. It takes time to code and fix this issue and right now it is a windows update problem since other games are also affected by this not exclusively PoE 2

ubisoft quickly released a patch that temporarily fixed this issue. GGG just don't give a shit. And it's not safe to use third-party software. In two topics with 4,000 comments and 2 developer comments in each topic, "we know" , then I think it's for a long time and it's worth returning the funds because there's no point in buying. By the way, they've been trying for a month now

PoE2 Hard Crash is not a Windows 11 24H2 issue.

PoE2 Hard Crash and crashes due to Windows 11 24H2 has no commonality between them.

I do not blame people who come here and tell that PoE2 Hard Crash is a Windows 24H2 issue because their only fault is to trust GGG's "Known Issues" post.

PoE2 Hard Crash is not happening due to an operating system issue.

PoE2 Hard Crash is causing an operating system issue.

PoE2 Hard Crash is not happening due to a hardware issue.

PoE2 Hard Crash is causing hardware issues.

Furthermore, I ask anyone who encounters this problem to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner so that others be aware of the issue.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.

So I updated my WIndows 11 today because it had an update, then I updated path of exile 2. I also think maybe it is fixed. I been playing for 23 mins and no slow downs or even stutters.

Windows 11 24H2
OS Build: 26100.2894

AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D
64gb of RAM DDR5-6000
Nvidia 4090
obviously using a m.2 ssd

if something happens ill report back but its been i wanna say even smoother than I last played which was a long time ago.

edit:

When I was crashing I was on the following windows build:

Windows 11 Home 24H2
OS Build: 26100.2605

nothing else changed with my PC. I have been using the Dec 5 nvidia driver version 556.36

My motherboard is the MSI x870 tomohawk and it is on the latest BIOs update.

It's going to freeze soon, don't worry.

I played for an hour last night and didn't crash. I didn't have much time to play but I went to different areas multiple times. Didn't even stutter once when loading into different maps. It was smooth like butter. For sure I thought it would have happen sometime last night but didn't. I will be playing some more later today to see what happens.

Did you also update your Windows to my build?
bump
Just sitting here wearing my POE2 hoodie wondering if and when I'll ever be able to play the game without destroying my hardware or buying a new rig...
I've been having this occur since I started on PoE2 a week after release. Thought it was my machine at first as I'd upgraded my CPU specifically for PoE2.

Basic Specs:

Ryzen 7 5700X3D
4070 Super
32GB DDR4

Whenever it locks up on loading, I have to hold down the power button on my PC to do a hard shutdown. Really not good at all.
