Hard crashing PC locks up

I've hard crashed about 15 times so far, i have a 5950x, 3900 gpu, 64gm ram... Yes I stream but it even hard crashes when I don't. CPU goes up to 100% on loading an area, might be shader related as that party of the graph just sits there full activity.
ok, so for unknowed reasons, launching from the standalone now works without issues -_-
Some possible solutions are discussed in this thread:

Mainly reducing the threads allocated to POE helps getting rid of the freeze! some crash may still occur but at least the PC don't freeze anymore!
Pretty crap, this has happened to me a handful of times as well

Afraid to even try playing more based on what other people are saying. What's the potential damage to our PCs? Overheating the CPU?

I've probably crashed like 5-6 times, never left my pc run for more than a minute or so before I pushed the hard restart button. Really worried about potential permanent damage to my PC but I don't know about this stuff at all. How do you even know if its done damage?

I found a solution, works in my case anyhow.
Setting Maximum Processor State in Power Plan settings below 100% (I have it at 95%) and so far no crashes, however it does negatively impact performance a little bit.
I'm also experiencing this nasty crash/lockup.

PC:
Windows 11 24H2 (fresh install from 3 days ago)
9800X3d
3080TI
Asus x870e Hero Bios 606
DirectX 12

Data loss/corruption. You are shutting down your OS in the middle of working.

So more of a software issue? It's not going to like permanently fry my CPU forcing me to buy a new one? I'm still going to avoid playing for now to avoid the issue. System seems fine right now.

Had my game freeze on me about 10 times, each requiring a hard reboot. RIP my new gaming rig. Had to DDU my gpu as am now experiencing issues where on some restarts my gpu refuses to take priority. 4080s/7800x3d 32gb ram 6000mhz/m.2. Playing all maxed settings with dlss quality 3400x1440 capped at 100fps. Issues began about 4 hours into the game. Hard froze the next day on relaunch, then the issue got worst and worst. Switched to dx11, switch my processor priority for physx to my gpu in nvidia control panel, lowered my cpu max power state to 99%, turned of dlss. So far no crashes in a day of playing however went from buttery smooth 100fps maxed out to 70-95 shaky fps on dx11 with hitches and slow loading. Hope this gets fixed soon, hope I can afford a new pc soon to replace this bugged out one to...
