POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Hey Kapps chrome is detecting virus, and Windows Defender automatically excludes it as a trojan..

Any way to bypass that?

There's two zip files, use the one that doesn't say non-.NET.

There seems to be an issue with .NET, a Microsoft product, that when deployed in the recommended way nowadays, consistently triggers false positives from Windows Defender, another Microsoft product. -_-

I downloaded the NET version and ran the .exe as admin but nothing happens. How do i check if the tool is running?

There should be a console window that opens. Make sure you're not running it from the zip file but that you extract it.
We shouldn't have to use third party app to login and play a game like this. Unnaceptable that we have no infos or updates on what's going .

Nothing happens

I am absolutely baffled that some random dude in forums with no affiliation to GGG cares more than GGG themselves AND pushes a decent fix for an issue that actually causes harm to whoever plays GGG's Path of Exile 2.

[Removed by Support]

The sad thing is Microsoft detects this fix as a trojan (probably false and certainly less harmful than running PoE2 even if it is) making people unsure about that but the thing is people should never be downloading a third party fix for a >30$ game.

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.

I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.

You need to download .net9 to run the program.

Support cannot put a single warning message, cannot communicate about this issue but apparently can censor simple thanks to the maker of the PoEUncrasher.

Thank you, You-Know-Who-You-Are.

I have tried all of the workarounds in the thread, the only ones that have functioned so far for me are the following:

"Realtime method":
1. Start Game
2. Set CPU Affinity (untick 0, 1 or w/e so you have breathing room)
3. Upon entering a 'freezing state' i.e. the infinite load, set the process priority to real-time for a few seconds, and set it back to normal after it clears.

"Multithread method":
1. Disable multithreading and suffer the unplayable framerate.

An interesting thing to note:
If the process is suspended (all threads suspended) and resumed after a period of time during the freezing state, you will be disconnected from the game and thrown back into the main menu, avoiding crashing. Though I don't recommend this.

It is odd that setting priority to real-time resolves this problem, but I'll take it rather than crashing again.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Imagine paying money and get nothing, when some random dude make a working workaround for free. Simply disgusting. Who we are, 225 pages here and dozens on steam vs million buyers.

It will only take 1 minute of your life, which is far less than this game has taken by crashing over and over again.

why? Its a good game and its early acces. give it time or write a ticket for a refund(if thats possible).

I don't remember when I last time experienced PC crashes in a game, early access or not. And all critical bugs developers fixed pretty fast, here you get nothing for two weeks, when the game potentially do damage to your pc. Don't try to justify that.
