POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
" I had freezes after the last update, they were constantly there, especially at the time of using skills, as well as the game crashes to the desktop (they were from the very beginning), I did not have to restart the computer. I did what was written, as well as this phrase "the memory leaks in game confirmed by Ziz" led me to think about the "swap file" (!) increasing the swap file in my case solved the problem! I removed both friezes and departures. Thank you for sharing this information! AMD 5700x Nvidia 3090 Windows 10 Last edited by DubStep#7414 on Dec 19, 2024, 7:59:27 PM

I do updates manually for windows I'm using 23H2 and this crap happened to me. So that's not the only reason.

Hey everyone, it's me again – the guy whose HX750 power supply recently fried after four years of use. Fortunately, nothing else was damaged. After replacing the PSU, I decided to run some temperature tests to see how my system was handling things. Here are my results:
Idle CPU Temperatures: https://imgur.com/a/fC5K3LC CPU Temperatures in Various Games (Main Menu & In-Game): https://imgur.com/a/JQvoK3c CPU Temperature in POE2 (Main Menu): https://imgur.com/a/DKwsBHF The results speak for themselves: POE2 is pushing CPU temps to concerning levels, even when you're just in the main menu. If this is what happens during early access, there's a real risk it could damage people's hardware. I rest my case. POE2 isn't ready for early access — not until these issues are addressed. This is happening to me so much that I'm about to throw in the towel. It's crashing on the character select screen now. I have no idea what's going on but so many people like myself cannot stop crashing.

" Yup, been trying to tell people this has been happening in POE1 for months. GGG hasn't done a thing about it. Don't expect them to do anything about it now. Not unless one of their poster children streamers start crashing. |

I'm curious about everyone's CPUs experiencing this problem. I just upgraded from an AMD R9 3950x to the new AMD 9800X3D. My old build had zero problems, and this one is as unstable as it can get with this game and only this game.

" If you have a ryzen, having temp spikes is normal, its how it works. You can do your research, there's a way to change how it works in the BIOs but I can't remember where I found it. It gives you average higher temps but less spikes. Probably ChatGPT could help you find it. The problem would be keeping those temps for longer than a few seconds, or having those temps doing nothing. Is it your case? If it gets 90 degrees constantly, it might something with your voltages. I have a 9800x3d and some games have sudden spikes for seconds. PoE2 is more or less 60 degrees constant, with spikes to 75 that last like 4 seconds. And btw you can't compare PoE2 to the games you showed. PoE2 is quite taxing on your system while humankind is nothing like it XD But I agree, PoE2 can't be released on Early Access with a freezing bug like this one. |

" It was at those temperatures in the idle main menu. It kept like that the entire time during gameplay. It is actually an i7 8700k. Enabling Vsync reduced the temperature while walking, but increased again during fights. I'm doing some tests with both vsync and disabling multithreading, will report tomorrow Last edited by dreadnaugh#7592 on Dec 19, 2024, 8:41:39 PM
