POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Also affected by the crashes:

AMD 5800X3D
Nvidia 4700TI Super
Windows 11, patched and driver up-to-date

With workarounds (like setting affinity), I don’t have to restart the PC at least. But the game still crashes often, and it’s quite frustrating to crash five times in a row.

Every loading screen is like Russian roulette for me. If the gear stops spinning, it either dies or lives to see another map.

I think I will stop playing for a while until this is fixed.
I love the game, though. I hope you can fix this annoying bug after your deserved holiday wind-down.

This is affecting my gaming rig as well. Big issue.
The game runs perfectly fine gameplay-wsie until I try to transition scenes - if I portal somewhere or have a loading screen.
PC drags to a crawl and then I have to do a hard reboot.
Happened multiple times trying to play last night.

System specs:

Gigabyte X670 Auros Elite Ax Motherboard
Corsair 32GB DDR5 RAM

I'm going to test out the mod here to see if that resolves it in the interim:

Hoping for a permanent fix from the GGG team perhaps that does a similar functionality:
- Monitors disk activity of Path of Exile 2.
- Reduces CPU usage to physical cores only during high disk activity.
- Restores full CPU usage when disk activity returns to normal.
This dynamic adjustment helps prevent crashes and improves stability, especially for AMD X3D processors.

I have tried everything, Process Lasso, other core "fixes", a python script, Vulkan, some may seem to help a bit, but eventually will just hard lock while loading which forces me to turn off my PC.

Same PC has Windows 10 on another drive, the game runs fine when using Windows 10 with only a couple random crashes while playing, usually in combat when a ton of stuff is going on.

This reminds me of the issues the game Helldivers has. Crashes on Win11, runs fine on Win10.

Hoping for a resolution soon, as I prefer to run Windows 11.

Roll back to Windows 11 23H2, that is the best solution so far if you want to play POE 2. Plus, there are no huge benefits anyway on 24H2, 23H2 is much more stable for everything OS wise and gaming.

Just so people don't get their hopes up, I did a clean install of 23h2, since my pc is new, and it freezes nonetheless.

In 23h2, windows does all kind of janky visual shit in windows, and for work it was driving me insane: i'd minimize somethinh and half it's picture would be there for like 30s. Saw that was something happening with 23h2, and upgraded. Visual janky shit is no more, at least.

Same for me, on Win24H2 and I can't roll back.

I'm also on 23H2 and still get freezes ocasionally.

Why the heck are people not leaving reviews about this on steam is beyond me.
