POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
" I’ve been around D4 since day 1. I’ve heard of crashing but never to the extent that it requires a full pc reset. And for this many people. Blizzard might be greedy but the game is optimized. |

" Don’t hold your breath. My best guess is it will be radio silent til the next patch, and we’ll see some notes towards the bottom that says “fixed 8 crashing instances.” And this one that everyone has experiencing will still be prevalent and the replies across a handful of threads will continue to stack up. " Did you run it as admin? That worked for me. | |
Disable Engine Multithreading and everything works flawlesly, but fps is very low... Game engine is 2010ish, works good with 1 core but not so well with multithreading

Same issue here. Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16APH8 laptop.
Ryzen 5 7640HS CPU RTX 4060 GPU 32gb ram Game is attempting to run in 3440x1440 at 100hz in borderless windowed. Just installed a Windows update last night, issue first occurred the next time I attempted to launch the game the next morning. |

I’m playing on:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D (Arctic 360 AIO) RTX 4090 DDR5 64 GB 6000 MHz CL36 Win 11 Pro 64 Bit 24H2 The game froze my PC on the very first day after installation, right after creating the character, during the intro animation when the first map loaded. I noticed that the processor was constantly running at 95-100% and the temperatures I saw here were higher than in any other game (and I’ve played countless games from AAA titles to indie). I tried everything—turning off PBO, PBO all-core neg. 30, 20, 10, but it was still the same, CPU maxed out. I tested various graphics settings, resolutions... Still the same. I was disappointed and decided to request a refund. Switching from DirectX12 to Vulkan helped. I gave it another chance and I was happy for 2 days. I played the game without problems on Vulkan, with PBO neg. 20 for CPU, which has been stable for me in all other games for a long time, and I got to Act II in the desert. Today, in the Keth catacombs, where I had tougher fights for a while, my PC froze again. I tried turning off PBO, turning off EXPO, changing/disabling CPU affinity on core 0 and 1. Nothing worked, the game simply crashes every time after I create a portal and teleport to the Caravan to sell items... I know this is Early Access, but I won’t lie when I say I’m disappointed. I hope they fix it. PoE 2 is otherwise a great game. |

+1 to the crash issues.
PC suddently forces a slow reboot upon itself, although it is not only limited to happening during loading screens, it does occur while loading quite frequently. Was playing fine with absolutely no issues for the first two weeks since EA began. Last edited by treigzak#1753 on Dec 27, 2024, 3:39:06 PM

PoEUncrasher is the only thing that helped me so far.
Can't play without it. Not a single freeze loc after I started to use it. I just hope it doesn't collect my banking information as a "side effect" :D PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
