POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Same problem since the launch. PC freeze when changing zones or boss fight. And it freeze to the point nothing respond and I have to manually stop the pc. ctrl alt del doesn't work at all.

I start to become concerned about the safety of my computer at this point.

How is this possible to release a game that crash so much ?

I uninstalled the game until I feel it is safe to play it. A game crash is something annoying, but if it makes your system to completely freeze and you have to hard reset through the power button... That's a whole different thing, you can end getting your computer bricked, so I'd stay away from it until they take this seriously.

I often read it can be really bad for hard drives (not ssd) and/or corrupt the OS integrity (all disks type of course). If this is not fixed, I will simply ask for a refund. I don't see this addressed in the feedback post, so I don't know if it's even taken into consideration.
Tbh, GGG's feedback very poor for this massive problem.

Yeah...

I will probably do the same. I'll give it a couple more days and if it isn't (at least) addresed, I will ask for a refund too. Sigh...

I just played a whole evening using a trick from reddit. DX12 on, multithreading on, 24H2.

Activate the frame rate cap.

I'm not sure if it matters what settings.
I used 60 foreground 30 background. All other visual settings cranked to the max.

We already tried that and it's crashing the same on my end and on a friend's. It's not cpu/windows/graphic etc.
I tried regressing the windows update, I tried all kinds of old drivers through DDU, I tried limiting CPU with BES, task manager etc. It will randomly freeze everything.

I'm just playing it on PS5 till this gets better. It looks like it's on known issues but I do not expect them to fix this rapidly, given how many days passed it has to be hard to fix.
Same issue
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800x3d
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4080 Super
Motherboard: PRO B650-A WIFI
RAM: 2x16GB 7200Mhz (EXPO on)
GPU driver 566.36
Windows 11 24H2
CPU driver: AMD Chipset driver 6.10.22.027
BIOS: AMI BIOS 7D75vA32(Beta version)

Changing to DX11, Vulkan, setting compatibility of .exe to Windows 8, and setting frame cap haven't help with the issue.
I'm using the built in stats (f1). Seems like when loading screen occurs, shaders graph sky rockets. It's either that or CPU (even tho I have thermal set to max 90C).
What is weird that mouse becomes very slow, stuttering and eventually is locked completly, as is whole PC
The only workaround I’ve found isn’t really a solution but rather a way to manage the issue:

1- Disable multithreading in the graphics settings completely.
2- Go through the portal or change zones.
3- Re-enable multithreading and continue playing.

You’ll need to repeat this process every time you want to change zones or use a portal.

Additionally, I’ve noticed that loading screens are much faster when multithreading is disabled.

This issue seems related to PoE2 utilizing all CPU cores for read/write operations. The maximum number of cores I’ve been able to disable without causing the game to crash is one, but even then, I experienced sound issues.
