I tried switching to vulkan, and now I crash even during gameplay - not just loading screens. So that didn't work for me.

Ryzen 5 3600X
2070 Super
Win 10 Pro

Will try on my much newer laptop shortly and will add results.

Have you tried DX11?
Switching renderers or any ingame visual settings has no effect on these crashes. I was able to play before the latest patch by toggling multi core on and off or setting an affinity in task manager. Now I can't load anything lol. I'm unable to play till they patch again -,- This is a disaster
DX11 does not work. Neither does Vulkan or DX12. I’ve tried every suggested fix and they all have crashed. It’s just PoE issue and they need to fix it. I have yet to crash in any other game 9800X3D 4080 super. If this game wasn’t so godly I would have refunded already and never looked back cause this is unacceptable but once it’s working I can see myself playing this for many years.
Didn't experience crashes before this b patch.
Think the crashes damaged my hardware since im now experiencing computer freezes even when PoE2 isn't running..
edit: also tried pretty much every setting/config change due to horrible performance in most of the zones running at 3440x1440 resolution (which was fine in PoE1)
Processor:AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
edit2: after todays patch i dont crash anymore(or so far)

Same issue here. Hold my breath anytime I see 2wheels grinding... Hard shutdown of pc is the only way to get out of it.

7800x3d
4080
Win 11 24h2
Same here.

Ryzen 5 7800x3d
4080 Super
I just played a whole evening using a trick from reddit. DX12 on, multithreading on, 24H2.

Activate the frame rate cap.

I'm not sure if it matters what settings.
I used 60 foreground 30 background. All other visual settings cranked to the max.
Followup. It might look like it's going to freeze on you with the frame cap solution. It seems to want to do it on first loadin. Give it about 10-30 seconds and it will sort itself out.
