POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"
imagine paying 450+USD for a supporter bundle and not even being able to play, not being acknowledged by GGG, not told anything.

what a great way for them to thank you for your support!

refund the game, if you can't/GGG or steam won't, then call your bank organise a chargeback.

they literally have acknowledged, sometimes its just really dam hard to figure out what is crashing a program, specially when the type of crash is a full system freeze as no log is made and nothing gets sent to them via the bugcrash automated shit...

god ppl are dam unreasonable. you really think they are not working on it, a problem affecting this many ppl? insanity

Ok, so, nvivida control panel, not been long enough to tell for crashing thought the pause during loads for a split second i use to always get for years in poe1 and now 2 stopped and the games general framerate improved noticeably when i changed this.

Nvidia Control Panel
Threaded optimizations to OFF instead of AUTO.

if i dont crash in the next 24 hours let ya know

just to add to this for ppl, since doing this the game has been massively improved with no crash yet. the loading between maps has been noticably faster, even having cleared the cache entirely.

did GGG copy the game from an early poe1 build to start dev on poe2 lol?

prior to this, act3 town would be 65-70 fps on quality dlss maxed settings.
yet now i can turn off all scaling and go raw input at 120fps same place same settings, its a massive difference for me.

most of the stuff is copied from path of exile 1 including the famous bug with engine multi-threading, it's the same engine after all
Posting again that this is still happening. I can't play any more until this is fixed, I've had to do this too many times and decided not to put my system through the stress. I hate to have to do this but I cannot recommend the game until this is fixed because I am unable to play due to this issue. Really hoping this gets fixed asap. (I sent my dxdiag log already)

They acknowledged it in a small post buried in the middle of a 400+ page thread. At this point, it feels more like a mockery than an honest attempt at showing that they're taking this seriously.

I don't doubt that they have someone working on it, but the very least they could do is mention it in an official news update, a livestream, or something similar. It's been a month since people paid for their product, yet they still can't run it without putting their hardware at risk and if that person doesn't visit this forum they might as well think that GGG took their money and ran cause they sure ain't talking about a fix.

They aren't an indie studio that can't spare one person to come up with a proper acknowledgment to reassure those affected by this, no need to treat them like one.

If you're still crashing and not using PoEUncrasher you are doing yourself a disservice. I have been using it for over a month, 50 hours of gameplay with 1 crash and that was my fault because I forgot to run as administrator. And 1 crash when playing multiplayer where I killed the app. It works and you aren't running your PC by downloading it. I'd highly recommend. 9800X3D 4080SUPER

Hello, I have had the same problem for days, reinstalling Windows 0, different graphics drivers, looking at the bios, all without a solution. Note that since a Windows update my CPU, when idle or when starting the PC, often went to 100% and I found the following tutorial on Reddit.

Step 1.
open search, and find "regedit" and open it.

Step 2.
Find this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\5d76a2ca-e8c0-402f-a133-2158492d58ad

Step 3.
Double click on "attributes" on the right side and change the value to 0 then click ok.

Step 4.
Open your advanced power settings and expand the "processor power management" tab

Step 5.
Change the newly exposed option called "processor idle disable" change it to "enable idle"

My pc is
5800x3d
32gb ram 3200
asus tuf gaming x570 plus
msi 3070ti

i play today all day and 0 crash

Interesting, I put the attribute to 0, I can see the new processor idle disable appear, but mine was already on enable idle. I will do some test for sure.
