POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"
Just an update on my post, I came home this afternoon after work and my gpu is completely dead, no signal output on any of the display ports or hdmi port, I took the gpu over to a friend and installed it in his pc and it does not post any signal, completely f'ing f'ed ... I'm now on the integrated gpu and can't do anything .. it is frustrating that the community has to figure out hoops and loops we need to go through to be able to play and essentially test the game, don't get me wrong I know it's an early access and we all know what we signed up for when we purchased it but I'm sure everyone expects a bare minimum of functionality of the game without putting their hardware at risk... anyway I'm very frustrated now with a dead gpu and I don't think I can do anything about it. Good luck to you all!

If you live in Australia contact the ACCC and the fair trade commission. At best GGG will be buying you a new GPU and some.

At worst, they’ll have the game refunded. Friend of mine had his GPU fried by fo76 on launch and BGS Basically just laughed at him so he went to the ACCC and three months ish later he had a payout not quick by any means but holds these fuckers accountable. GGG being an NZ studio will be punished way harder here or there over somewhere like America lmao
I've disabled Thread Optmization on Nvidia control panel, and downgrade the nvidia driver to 560.94 (August 2024) as some of u guys suggested..
Oh my............
Just wanna say that im playing for 2 days straight without a single load screen crash.. long 6~8 hours atlas sessions again like crashes never happened..
If anyone is still willing to do some "workaround" to play, this one is worth a try.

No Poe Uncrasher

Ingame: Multithread Enabled all time
Vulkan
Nvidia Reflex Off
Windowed Fullscreen

Windows 24H2
5600x
GTX1660 SUPER
16gb ram

dammit :\ it's working fully now on my pc, i've been having hard lock for a month..
did you tried the same driver version aswell?
Limit Fps to 60
Set Priority to High in Control panel (High, not Real time, and no need to set affinity, at least im not and im not having crashes)
Basically make it as easy as possible for Cpu and Gpu to run it, and have to time to load the shaders or anything else that is surely broken on the game..

That's all im running now, and i simply can't believe im finally able to play.. I'm afraid it happen again suddenly, but for now it's keeping up

Do you like this game? I returned the money, even though I had already played for 17 hours.
Crashed 3 times tonight within the span of a few hours. Hard crash where I had to physically hit the reset button on my PC. Seems worse since the last patch. Swapped to Vulkan after first crash but game crashed 2 more times afterwards when loading a new area in Act 2. Hoping this gets sorted. It has been years since any game in my steam library has HARD crashed my PC like this.
It's actually wild you guys are STILL attempting bandaid fix and work-arounds to play this game.. there's countless testimonials of people having their GPUs or CPUs fried due to this.

And GGG's solution is to... make you run the game so they can fix it? Ya bro, I'll run it if you promise to buy me a brand new rig when this game eventually bricks it.

This launch is a disaster, to be clear, and only until a basement dwelling streamer runs into this problem (Windows 11 mandatory update incoming), then we will see no real fix.

So sad, because the game is decent, but I'd rather keep my brand new PC rig in perfect condition instead. See you guys in 6 months?
This is getting ridiculous. The fact that this is still an on going thing a month in.

I’ll leave it at this: if the Steam reviews fell to “Mixed” or “Mostly Negative” and/or the top content creators were talking about this issue on YouTube, Twitch, and X then you can be absolutely certain that we would have at the very least gotten some clear communication about the problem if not an outright fix. Instead everyone is pretending like things are hunky dory so GGG can focus on content and monetization without much noise in the system. People like you are perpetuating this culture of silence. Goodbye.

I've made my steam review on day 2 of the game being out as negative. Said how do developers keep getting away with just realeasing a broken product for us to test? Most of reviews a positive somehow, but I do see a few for this issue too. Hard for me to do that since I love the potential of the game, but this is the worst crash I've ever experienced from a game. Not playing until it's fixed.
