POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"
due to being marked as "High priority", it was freezing the computer on loading screens.

:D
Well, unfortunately MS won and I had to upgrade to 24H2. Funny thing is, POE Uncrasher is showing that loading is nice and smooth...not a singe "not responding in over 24 hours.

Also, check your swap file size. Make sure the minimum is 1.5 times the amount of ram in the system, and the maximum is 3x that. Take the numbers and multiply them by 1024 and put them in accordingly. It helped me under 23H2 a bunch...now I have a smooth game. Will keep using uncrasher for a week to be sure.

So what? A bunch of different tricks worked for a bunch of different people. Until GGG provides a verified, universal solution then every other suggestion is just noise in the system and covering for their slow, unresponsive behinds.

So it points to windows as the most common denominator among two 400+ page threads of complaints?

I don't know how else to spell it out.
If GGG's PoE2 is the only game I cannot run, then it sounds like a GGG problem, not a user problem.

Sorry, not going to run 3rd party executables and 'run the game in a virtual machine', or whatever silly workaround most GGG meat riders suggest.

If this were any other company, they'd be crucified for this unoptimized turd. But because it's the streaming community's favorite 'Diablo-like', it gets a pass.

Radio silence from this company is the most concerning issue with this, though. If there was more communication it would probably be fine. i.e., "we're working on this, we're narrowing down the problem, etc".

That doesn't appear to be the case, and GGG wants YOU to risk bricking YOUR system to send them crash reports. The sad part is, people will gobble that up.

Are they understaffed or just don't care? I'm still waiting for a response on an email for an account issue from before Christmas.
I know Kiwis have a god complex but this is bordering on arrogance.

"Common denominator" does not equal "universal fix for system crashing bugs". I don't know how else to spell it out.
I managed to fix my loading screen freeze issue. I simply reseated and reapplied thermal paste to my CPU, RAM, and GPU. I also loosened my AIO cooler slightly where it connects to the CPU. This somehow resolved the issue. I've been playing for two days without any crashes or freezes.

I have no idea how or why it suddenly worked, but I’m happy. Lol

I looked at event viewer, and saw error codes indicating a memory leak. Checked my min/max swap file size and saw it was set to 4gb for some reason. Properly adjusted it for a 16gb installed ram setup and the issues largely went away since then. Just a thought. Event viewer shows many things.

hehe, ahhh, yea, i did that the first crash. in october, it seems to help, but no.
system ram is rarely above 40% used too. its not a poe mem leak if there is one, i did for a time with some of the logs feel like it might have been a HVCI related leak but /shrug. the threaded optimizations being off has been seemingly the most effective change iv'e made, today i switched it back to enabled and froze first load, while its off it might, a very big might freeze, and only if i messed around alot in grphics settings alot. its jsut weird, 30+ years of playing games and using software, its up there as one of the most odd crashes ive had

I do not know if they are trying to fix this problem and I do not know if they care about us, players,

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3707604

Barely even been 12 hours since they addressed the issue again, these posts of no communication are getting so tedious, the issue isnt an easy one to fix, its early access and no matter how entitled peeps choose to behave it gets fixed when it gets fixed.

I am also experiencing this issue and it is insanely annoying, to the point I've stopped playing and check in on these forums from time to time to see how things are progressing. Conspiracy theories galore in these threads.

This isn't addressing us at all. This is a completely different crash. Specifically a game crash, not a pc lock up. 100% different thing.

Original quote - "they dont communicate, they dont care about us, I dont even know if they are trying to fix this"

Response - Here is a post showing that they are looking into the issues IE communication, literally not even 12 hours before the original they dont communicate/care.

Follow up quote - "I havent read past line 1 of page you linked like with every other piece of communication, if it isnt line 1 they are ignoring us"

Last 2 lines of the post - Fixed a client crash related to checkpoint UI.
Fixed an instance crash.

Now looking at I wrote with a direct quote these posts of no communication are getting so tedious, the issue isnt an easy one to fix, its early access and no matter how entitled peeps choose to behave it gets fixed when it gets fixed.

This level of entitlement is getting a tad tedious in these threads now, I've hard crashed a number of times to the point I've stopped playing the game yet understand that this isnt an easy fix as well as understand that early access runs a significant risk of bad interactions between software as that is part and parcel of early access. This isnt a single crash is it, multiple different people are experiencing multiple different crashes and you can see that just scrolling a couple of pages in this thread but you expect GGG to pluck out a needle in a haystack and focus specifically on your crash but not only that the fact your getting annoyed that GGG are fixing some crashes just not yours at this moment time circles back to the start of this paragraph.
