Just go to task manager when starting the game, find the pathofexile process, right click on it and select "Set affinity", then uncheck "CPU 0" (this should be enough for 9800x3d). No freezes after that, can't see any performance hit.
If you don't want to do it manually each time you can use Process Lasso app for this or PoEUncrasher from GitHub.

lol, walking into this thread on page 490 thinking you came up with some new solution that hasn't been posted a thousand times by now.

Because people still say they can't play the game? Core parking helped me, even w/o game crashes.

you people should really stop whining here as i doesn't do you any good, GGG is aware of the issue and we simply do have to wait until its fixed, whining won't make it getting fixed faster as its simply not a quick fix by any means, go touch some grass outside your house, then come back and simply play a different game, there are plenty of games out there!

By the time they fix this, it will be free to play, and our 30 bucks will have been a donation.
Greedy, wokish company didn't want to upgrade really old game engine from like 2000.. they get what they deserved, hope they never fix it.
hoj :)
I think it's just shameful now! Not because they haven't solved the problem yet - they probably would if they could. I think it's shameful because they obviously don't consider it necessary to inform their SUPPORTERS (we've all bought SUPPORTER packs, haven't we?) in detail about the problem and the status of the solution. There are thousands of forum posts from thousands of disappointed SUPPORTERs and GGG just doesn't communicate with these people at all? And not for a few days or weeks, but for two months now? Not even a sincere “We're really sorry, but we're doing our best!”. That's really not a good way to deal with, I'll say it again, SUPPORTERS!

closing up on 2 months and still no fix real nice
So now that we know nvidia driver wasn't the issue, how long will GGG keep playing it off as a Windows issue, instead of manning up and taking responsibility for their own incompetence.

What are u talking about? it was known it wasn't a gpu problem since the beginning. CPU IS THE ISSUE, that's why poeuncrasher is a temporal fix to minimize the crashes or turning off multi-threading ingame, having to play with low fps, thats sucks). IF u use poeuncrasher u wont crash. But the situation is clearly unacceptable

Upgraded from my ancient GTX 970 to an RTX 4060 and now I'm getting complete PC crashes during loading screens. The game ran fine before aside from PoE2 crashing once or twice in 400 hours.
This is happening to me.

It makes me restart my computer.

I have updated all drivers and still can't play.

This started after update. It also makes me run checkpack everytime it crashes.
