This is a GGG/PoE2 issue, been well documented and established.

So does Linux. PoE 1 and 2 are the only games on my library to cause this issue. This is 100% on GGG.

Yes. If it's Linux fault, then it must be patched. GGG doesn't have access to your hardware or ring 0 at all.

And yet happens in Linux too? Yeah that doesn't track.

Linux's PoE still uses Windows API running via proton / wine, translating Win32 calls to Linux natives.

PS Show me official native poe 1/2 binaries from the developers.

The problem is also worstened the last weeks. PoE uncrasher was working, before. Now it struggles and almost every time I launch the game, it crashes...

This is so frustrating.
Not spending one more coin on the packs etc until they fix their shit! What effing game freezes the whole pc 2 sometimes 3 times in a row before you can actually get in the effing game!?!? WTF ARE THE DEVS DOING?????
1. Use the Bat file method of turning off the cores every time game is launched.
2. keep task manager open before playing the game
-Once game is open go to details
-select priority to real time to reduces crashes
3. in situations of serious freezes disable multi threading until you have loaded the section you are getting stuck on. Then turn it back on once you are though.

Please for the love of God GGG please patch the game! NVIDIA released their update already it did nothing.

If you want to know how to fix it, code all the steps 1-3 into the game so we don't need to manually do this.

e.g. Patch the game to disable multi threading whenever a loading screen is happening then turn it back on again once its finished. Force the game to not use all PC cores.
+1

This issue seems to be related with AMD CPUs (I own a Ryzen 7 7800X3D myself...).

It makes the game unplayable for me. Waiting for a patch.

You're in one of two documented threads, as you well know. Close to 500+ pages of testimonials of GGG's spaghetti code bricking PCs.

Your choice to believe it or not. GGG can fix their game without me running a VM or 'tuning cores off', or running a command line to send them data.

Unless, of course, the company is incompetent -- seems so, if you look at their most recent youtube video.

Blizzard would never allow this, just FYI

Guys, just disable Engine multithreading from Options > Graphics. Never had a crash since i disabled it

Ya bro, enjoy your 30 fps. I'm not disabling multithreading on my 9800X3D.

GGG can fix their game instead.

you can disable multithreading in settings only before entering portals or any new area that has load screen. then turn it on again and keep playing on full fps. it is still annoying because you have to do it every new load but at least no crashes and you can play.

Yes.. and what you're doing is fully automated by something many people recommend using (3rd party exe file) called "PoE Uncrasher".

It is still is not a 100% solution, as this does not prevent the crashes from happening "100% of the time".

Nulled.
