Well one would assume its a potential fix so it needs a bit more testing, one would also assume based on all the threads that this is a complicated issue ya know with how many different systems its actually affecting and maybe just maybe rushing out a potential fix could potentially affect the game/systems in a more negative way a quick google search for patch breaks game will show you hundreds of different pages from hundreds of different games rushing out quick fixes and breaking something else.

No matter what they do they will never please 95% of the players in these threads because they have no idea what they are talking about lol and just want something to complain about.

If they need more testing, they should not announce a fix for the next patch. They can come to this thread and tell us that they are working on a fix that they, if everything goes well, want to realese as soon as possible. Might be even better to just say that they are working relentlessly to try fix this.

They are afraid to release a fix for a completely broken game, because it might break the game even more? That's funny actually.

Nah, the root issue might be a complicated bug, yes, but there is a fix for the game freeze that they could have implemented 2 months ago, and that is to provide the option to toggle off multithreding on loading screens. That band aid fix would have mede the game playable for 99% of the players affected by this bug immidiately, with minimal effort from them.

Nothing you say will convince me that this fix is hard to implement given what's allready in the game atm.

I mean, some random dude have released 4 versions of a program that runs similar code since the release of the game.

Oh the pain, so they communicate that they have a potential fix and your annoyed that they havent released it immediately, prior you were annoyed at their 0 communication policy, like I said literally cannot win. They have clearly been working on the issue as they've been updating the patch notes and known bugs list literally every patch, are you really that insane in the mind that you require game devs of hundreds of thousands of people to keep checking in with you and letting you know that they are working on an issue they update us on periodically? The game isnt completely broken though is it, a portion of the player base are unable to play without it hard crashing their system but the rest are able to play again back to point one, you are insane in the mind to expect game devs of literally hundreds of thousands of people to keep checking in with you and letting you know that you are working on an issue they update us on periodically.

Back to point 1, they literally cannot win, announce new information for you "I DEMAND IT NOW"..... Give you no information whilst working in the background "WE DEMAND INFORMATION NOW".

Feel free to go back through the thread and see the amount of people who have tried poeuncrasher and affinity settings and you guessed it, multithreading and they are still crashing. Entitlement at its finest, game devs ignore everything else and fix my problem because I am the most important. I am not defending GGG at all, you can see my previous posts, when people start acting stupid and start throwing their toys out the pram instead of understanding how complex an issue is then yea sure, I'll tell that person. Now remember their are hundreds of thousands of players with different systems that are all going to be impacted by this patch and your response is rush it out or dont mention it so you can complain either way HAHAHAHAHA, am done

Is it fixed ? Been playing for a while now, loading screens seem fine. Been running the game without poeuncrasher since the patch was deployed and seems to work. Inb4 jinx.

That "POTENTIAL" fix for the crash affecting players on Windows 24H2 didnt fix shit for me. I cant play this game for anymore than 5m until i crashed to my desktop.

is anyone else having the issue of when you open your POE 2, the monitor starts to black screen on random scenarios for 2 seconds or so? ex. fullscreening a yt video blacks out my monitor for 2 seconds like its trying to change resolution or something, when tabbing out it black screens for 2 seconds etc, any fixes? am i the only one? lol

Sounds like your graphics drivers are crashing.

Post patch I just ran 4x T15 maps and a level 80 trial... no freeze crashes when portaling.


I'm optimistic yet remain skeptical that it is a permanent fix but fingers crossed!

i have the most recent graphics drivers so i dont understand why this would be happening? any advice as to what i should/could do? thanks brother
