Hey Guys,
there has long been a solution for this, not from GGG but it solves the problem.
Download this:
https://mion.yosei.fi/BES/
Open BES.exe ->
Open Poe2 ->
Stay at the poe2 login screen and tab out ->
select “Target” for BES ->
select the poe2.exe and click “limit this” ->
click YES ->
pulls the slider down to -5% ->
done!
This solution solved the game for everyone on my discord - even if the game should freeze again the game can no longer go into complete lockup!
It is not a solution to limit your CPU. Most of the people aren't going to come here and complain about freezing - they are just going to uninstall the game.
I don't understand why people repeat the same gold "fixes" like this - we've already read this 1000 times, you don't need to repeat it once again.
We need a real fix from the developers, not this shit...
so if it's FIXED for me and my guys and we can play, it's still not a FIX? haha
even if it only works for 50% and helps it's better than just crying here without sense and understanding
You can't say its a fix, if that fix for some. Its not even a fix, game still hangs, but you at least can close it

It's called workaround. In this specific case you sacrificed some of your performance but the bug still persists in your system.

It seems that last patch fixed this for me. Will update after few hours.
At least there is no more microfreezes at few loading screens i tested. They were always there and full freeze often followed them.
Update: so far no crashes/freezes. But CPU usage still spikes to 100% at some loading screens, so i suspect it will return in time.
Update 2: yep, still freezes whole PC.

I dunno, i even reverted win11 to win10, freezing is gone but for me game is still unplayable in maps when dealing with league mechanics fps drops to 30-40 from 120 tried delirium once got a really nice slideshow close to 15-20fps
my specs:
i7 9700K
RTX 3070Ti
SSD 980 PRO
meanwhile my friends with ryzen CPU's has no problems what so ever

Erm. If you post arguable "fixes", it shows that people find their own way of doing developers job. And yes, "crying" is what shows the problem more, than "popoo peepee two times and you no longer hang".

100% unplayable with any of the "homemade" fixes. Crash at every loading screen now. Sent over what I needed to to Timothy, but that was a few hours after he posted. Still no response or updates. -le sigh-

I doubt there will be any personal communication. Though I see the file I've sent hasn't been downloaded from google drive which is a bummer. I'm glad this problem got into the list of known issues tho.
